Yesterday on How does Temporary Lockdown effect …
4 months ago
Cloaked creatures have a mana value of 0 while they are face down, so they will be exiled with Temporary Lockdown.
The default state of an exiled card is to be face up unless the effect that exiles the card says otherwise. So those cloaked creatures will be exiled face up for all to see.
When Temporary Lockdown leaves the battlefield, there is no additional check that the cards it has exiled are of a specific mana value. Everything it has exiled will return when it leaves, even if you had a cloaked Scornful Egotist under there.
wallisface on Can tokens morph now?

Token copies of Ravager of the Fells Flip are able to now flip, though note that non-token cards that copy Ravager of the Fells Flip will not be able to.
From what i’ve read, even though tokens can now flip, they’re not allowed to know about their other face. In this vein, you cannot pay the morph cost of a token copy of a face-down Scornful Egotist, as the back side doesn’t have the morph ability.

I haven't read through the new rules yet.
If you create a token copy of a Ravager of the Fells Flip, is the token considered to have its backside showing?
If you create a token copy of a face-down Scornful Egotist, is that token considered face-down?
Also, can you now pay the morph cost to morph the token?
Yesterday on Can you use Deceiver of …

Following up on a question from a few days ago, what happens if you control a face-down creature that doesn't have morph or a variant, and your Deceiver of Form's trigger goes off? I reveal a Scornful Egotist off Deceiver's trigger.
According to the answer in the other thread, if I control an Akroma, Angel of Fury I've cast as a morph creature, I can flip it face-up for U at which point it'll be a face-up Scornful Egotist until end of turn.
If I control a Yargle, Glutton of Urborg that was turned face-down with an Ixidron, can I spend U to turn the Yargle face-up?
And if so... what happens if I've used a Magar of the Magic Strings to reanimate a sorcery spell as a face-down creature? Can I pay U to turn it face-up as a copy of the Egotist until end of turn? Or do the rules that prevent instants and sorceries entering the battlefield prevent you from turning the card face-up even when it's a copy of a creature card?
Bitterjelly on Ovika + Morph

I have a pretty good grasp of how Ovika, Enigma Goliath works
but one thing that im not 100% on is the interaction with morph cards
so for example i have ovika out and i put Scornful Egotist onto the battlefield facedown for 3..do i get 8 goblin tokens when the 2/2 comes into play right?
i think yes

Scornful Egotist would be a Human Wizard Creature with P/T of 1/1.
From Tezzeret, Cruel Machinist's Gatherer rulings:
7/13/2018 The Core Set 2019 set includes no way to turn these cards face up. If an effect from cards outside of this set does turn one face up, the effect causing it to be a 5/5 artifact creature ends. If such an effect tries to turn an instant or sorcery card face up, reveal that card and it stays face down. In that case, it remains a 5/5 artifact creature.

Say I control Tezzeret, Cruel Machinist, and that I activate the -7 ability, putting Scornful Egotist onto the battlefield facedown as a 5/5. Later I pay the morph cost, flipping Egotist.
What is Egotist's p/t, and is it still an artifact?
Yesterday on Does Swift Reconfiguration remove creature …

This feels like a stupid question.
A Scornful Egotist is enchanted with a Swift Reconfiguration. As long as it hasn't been crewed, it's not a creature and therefore not a Human Wizard. Once it becomes crewed, does it become a Human Wizard again for as long as it's a creature?
