HOT DAMN THE PRISMATIC BRIDGE IS INSANE —Jan. 14, 2021

Wow Kaldheim has really surprised me this set. First off Esika, God of the Tree  Flip // The Prismatic Bridge  Flip is literally made for this deck. I can't believe a 5 color upkeep tribal commander was made. I love that fact that The Prismatic Bridge  Flip will have protection from creature removal. I've already ordered the card and cannot wait to take Golos out of the upkeep deck.

I also added some other cards to this deck from Kaldheim, since I don't really have guaranteed artifacts in play anymore I decided to remove Thopter Spy Network and I've replaced it with the new card Koma, Cosmos Serpent! This is an "each upkeep" card that seems like it is going to be insane!

Additionally, my Braid of Fire + Cascading Cataracts combo doesn't really work well anymore now that Golos is no longer the commander, so I've decided to replace Braid of Fire with Oath of Lieges for some additional ramp and I decided to replace Cascading Cataracts with The World Tree because it's such an insane land! Literally Chromatic Lantern on a land.

Lastly, for more upkeep flavor, I took on Strionic Resonator, while I understand the value in this deck, I feel like it's better to add more card draw, so I have replaced it with Graveborn Muse.

I am so happy with where this deck is, with The Prismatic Bridge  Flip and some of the other changes I've added we are now at 60 total upkeep cards in the deck.

If your opponent has an Eon Hub, that doesn't work out great for ya, but I don't think very many people have those.

Magic0 hahahha, I've only had one person ever use Eon Hub on me so far... If that happens I just try and do some politics to get it removed.

Firstly, this deck seems super fun and is definitely something I haven't seen before. I would recommend replacing your lifegain cards with either other upkeep triggers or removal. While I didn't look too closely at the deck, I couldn't seem to find much removal at all, but if you prefer to stuff as many upkeep triggers as possible, I recommend the siege cycle from fate reforged, as each enchantment has an upkeep option, as well as another option if it fits the circumstance.

Gontilordofmtg Thanks for commenting! I feel the life gain card are pretty important in this deck as Phyrexian Arena, Bitterblossom, Ancient Tomb, City of Brass, Mana Confluence, Spire of Industry, and Tarnished Citadel all do damage to me or make me lose life, and having that life gain cushion is important.

As for removal, a friend of mine always says "A fun commander deck is all questions and no answers", so all of my decks tend to just be very selfish and try to get ahead as quick as possible rather than worrying about other players decks.

However, I do have two ways of removing things, Capricious Efreet and also Dominus of Fealty + World Queller let me do this fun thing where I take any permanent and then immediately sacrifice what I took with the World Queller trigger.

I've considered adding the red siege enchantment, but I typically rely on Golos and hardly cast cards from my hand, nor top of the deck.

All posts above are fake news! I demand proof and recount all these "claims" of you brewing this masterpiece.

I feel like the deck really needs some early mana rocks or ramp of any kind. Having a curve that tops at 5 is incredibly slow for most EDH tables.

Snogglesworth Ancient Tomb, Awakening Zone, From Beyond, never miss land drop with Land Tax, almost never miss a land drop with Mirri's Guile.

Additonaly this deck isn't a typically Golos deck, and if I'm being honest I only cast golos about 7/10 times. The average cmc for the deck is 4.68 which is very low for the average Golos.

If I wanted to, I could add rocks but at the end of the day that breaks the theme of the deck.

Also Court of Bounty is a great ramp "upkeep" card too.

The issue isn't hitting land drops, it's being able to play spells early in the game. It's important to be a threat early game and even though they don't have synergy, cards like Cultivate and Farseek are incredibly good.

You absolute genius! I had no idea this many cool upkeep cards existed; taking so many to stack effects sounds like a hilarious way to throw off opponents. I do think that perhaps Energy Vortex would work well with this deck, especially after casting Enduring Ideal since you lose the ability to cast anything else.

Snogglesworth I absolutely agree, but I have to commit to the theme. Every time a new set comes out I check every card for new upkeep cards. Maybe in the future there will be more that create ramp.

As of right now Awakening Zone, Court of Bounty, From Beyond are the only true upkeep ramp.

And arguably, Aether Vial, As Foretold, and Braid of Fire also help this deck get ahead. Really the mana curve is so low, and you get SO SO SOOO many free creatures every upkeep with this deck that the ramp is not extremely necessary for casual play.

Johnsonsonsonsonson

Oh Johnsonsonsonsonson, let me tell you about the Enduring Ideal Gambit.

So when I cast enduring ideal, the first thing I grab is Paradox Haze of course. Now unless my opponents destroy paradox haze, I can now trigger Enduring Ideal twice on my turn. So, I typically grab Assemble the Legion with the first trigger and Copy Enchantment with the second trigger and have Copy Enchantment copy Paradox Haze, I now have three upkeeps on my turns which means I can now search for 3 enchantments.

So next I will usually grab Sanctum of All for trigger one, then I will grab Honden of Infinite Rage for the second upkeep trigger (plus Sanctum of all will now trigger twice this turn). For the final trigger I will grab Estrid's Invocation copying Paradox Haze, I now get 4 upkeeps a turn.

Here we go, now on the next turn you can most likely get every single shrine into play with a bunch of upkeeps, and additionally grab tons of other options like Debtors' Knell for creatures or Solitary Confinement for protection. There's also one more enchantment you can tutor to copy paradox haze and that is Mirrormade.

Man, Enduring Ideal is so so broken.

I think Zur the Enchanter would be worth it just to find Paradox Haze, Copy Enchantment, etc. That alter is mad sweet btw!
