I have been meaning to try Merfolk for about 5 years or so, but never put in the time. Now that it's good in the current (2023) meta, I think it's time to give it a try

With Lost Caverns of Ixalan brings two new cards to the Fish People table: Tishana's Tidebinder, which is a cracked card in general, and Deeproot Pilgrimage, which has the potential to be a cracked card for Merfolk. Just a test really, but I do feel excited about what Deeproot Pilgrimagein particular brings to the table as far as changing up bad matchups
