2/10 rating (ouch!)

Feb 5, 2023:

I love the Historic Brawl deck I've built on Arena with Ziatora, the Incinerator as my Commander, so I'm now trying for a real-life build. The main strategy is to take control of your opponent's creatures and sac them to Ziatora. This is a hasty build as I'm hoping to get together to play with my friends this evening, so there are absolutely going to be 'holes' in the deck....

UPDATE Feb 6, 2023:

As mentioned, I hastily threw this deck together yesterday afternoon to play with my friends later in the evening. I not only won, but I took out each other player! I no longer remember the exact sequence, but one of the players cast a white boardsweep (I don't recall the card's name) that allowed him to choose 1 of each non-land permanent type for each player, then destroy the rest. I only had Ziatora on the board, so I was unaffected. Everyone else took a pretty massive hit, though. It opened the way for me to take out 2 players back-to-back. I attacked with my Commander Ziatora, the Incinerator, then in the 2nd Main Phase I cast Skyfisher Spider and sacrificed Ziatora to destroy one of the other players Commanders, then recast my Commander. During the end step I then sacrificed the Spider to take out one of the players who was at 2 life. My next turn I enchanted & equipped Ziatora to 10/9 and took out another player who was at 8 life. The final player was at 30 life, but scooped another turn later because he had no way to block or remove Ziatora before I would have done the necessary Commander damage to eliminate him.

NOTES:

It's funny that my deck rated 2/10 had done better than many of my higher rated decks! I've rated all of my Commander decks using the tool on CardsRealm webpage. While I realize this tool probably can't account for how well the cards synergize, it was still kind if discouraging to see such a low rating. The majority of my decks rate 4/10, which I guess is okay...

Anyway, I feel that what this deck needs is to be able to generate more creature tokens. I've built this deck around the 'sacrifice' mechanic, but I'd prefer to sac creature tokens rather than non-token creatures. I'm also considering adding 1 or 2 other cards that will allow me to return permanents from my graveyard for the times I am forced to sac a non-token creature that I'd prefer to have back on the board. I also need to work on the lands. I need more non-basic lands to ensure I'm getting the right mana on-board...
