MTG Combo: Academy Ruins + Mindslaver

Put Mindslaver back on top of your library after activating it to take all of an opponent's turns. Usually only found in decks that can generate a ton of mana since you do need 13 mana to do this every turn.

@LearnedHand: you have two options. You go all in on the combo (you try to get your combo going as fast as you can)... Or you go with a tempo style deck that has some midrangy and control aspects to it. Your combo would win you the game. Personally I would chose the latter version a that is more my playstyle but either version has potential... My deck If you hate people... Play this deck has the elements of a control deck but has an infinite combo that wins you the game always Academy Ruins + Mindslaver chose which direction we want to go and we can try to tune the deck. If the deck just doesn't work for one reason tell me what type of deck you like to play (control combo mid-range aggro) so I can help you develop that deck hopefully in time for your gp.

Academy Ruins + Mindslaver seems on theme with this dystopia you're making.

Consider Sands of Time

This deck has a lot of good inclusions for the dimir side of your wheel.

For instance: if Mesmeric Orb and Dredge then why not Crucible of Worlds or Ramunap Excavator?

If those then why not Dark Depths + Thespian's Stage /Mirage Mirror or Academy Ruins + Mindslaver ?

They're each good individually, they're better together.

Yeah it is a lot of fun. Quite recently I just finished ny own tron deck, the difference is that it is mono blue tron, which is a more controlling version of the deck.

I have stuff like an Ugin, the Spirit Dragon,Remand, Condescend, Academy Ruins + Mindslaver , Sundering Titan, Wurmcoil Engine, Platinum Angel in the deck. It's a much cheaper variant over all of the other tron decks.

Jace_Sanchezwhen you go in the phase of game where you are 1vs1 Academy Ruins + Mindslaver is GG. That is the reason of why I ve suggest you that. Another creature you could put inside instead for the synergy with Ruins is Wurmcoil Engine.

The reasons to run Blue tron are Condescend, other counterspells, cantrips, and the Academy Ruins + Mindslaver lock. I'd look at all of those because the module combo to me just seems like a weaker Sword of the Meek + Thopter Foundry combo, and I think you need a more reliable win con.

Cool. So. If you're going artifacts, there are a couple of ways to win. Typical options are trying to combo off, or you can ramp into huge creatures. However, Sen Triplets doesn't much lend itself to those strategies, except as a piece of control to protect your combo.

If you'd like to combo off, Sharuum the Hegemon may be a better commander, and should be in the deck even if she's not the commander- she creates a number of infinite combos. For example, her plus Phyrexian Metamorph or Sculpting Steel will infinite kill each other, and bring each other back to the battlefield, allowing Zulaport Cutthroat, Blood Artist, Disciple of the Vault, or Altar of the Brood to kill off your opponents, or Arcbound Crusher or Glaze Fiend to get infinitely huge,.

Kuldotha Forgemaster will be necessary to find the combo pieces you need. Nevinyrral's Disk combos with Darksteel Forge and Mycosynth Lattice to provide a one-sided board wipe every turn. Academy Ruins + Mindslaver prevents your opponent's from getting to do anything.

Or, perhaps you'd like to go a more beatdown-y route. This is closer to what you've already got. You'll want a few more mana rocks of this is your route. Thran Dynamo, Basalt Monolith, Grim Monolith, Azorius Signet, Azorius Cluestone, Dimir Signet, Dimir Cluestone, Orzhov Signet, Orzhov Cluestone... These are just a few options to get you started.

Triplets tend to lead more controlling decks- decks that are designed to take full advantage of opponents cards, full of counterspells and control magics. I can offer a ton of options in this category too, but that seems to be steering this deck too far from your original plan. Let me know if you'd like a few cards from this angle too.
