Soultether Golem

Artifact Creature — Golem

Vanishing 1 (This permanent enters the battlefield with a time counter on it. At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a time counter from it. When the last is removed, sacrifice it.)

Whenever another creature enters the battlefield under your control, put a time counter on Soultether Golem.

I highly recommend adding Soultether Golem for an infinite combo with Kate Stewart. Cast them on the same turn and win the game! Have fun, I did the same thing (building her expecting her to suck) and she was surprisingly good!

I'm not sure about glacial/scrying sheets- Into the north is slow, scrying sheets takes you off of desperately needed coloured mana and glacial refills your hand, but can't pick up gas (most creatures non-snow), so Winding Way or Once Upon a Time might be stronger. They are great cards if you want to be midrange, but this is a zoo list.

Since your creatures mostly care about forests (sorry wild nacatyl), you might look at increasing the forest count and running more artifact fixing ( Springleaf Drum , Chromatic Sphere , Navigator's Compass , Paradise Mantle ), which would also let you pick up Shrapnel Blast to finish games. While I'm mentioning burn options, I have seen Tribal Flames in non budget versions of these lists- representing ten points of burn from flames/blast will win games.

There is also the option of trying to make your creatures mostly playable with green mana (like Sunblade Elf , Lupine Prototype or Soultether Golem ), then cast Lush Growth / Nylea's Presence or get a singleton Sacred Foundry off Flower / Flourish . This is a bit more fragile.

If you want to go harder into snow-matters, Boreal Druid and Coldsteel Heart offer ramp, while Frostwalk Bastion is a decent manland, but that will look more like a midrange value list (eventually becoming another Ice-Fang Coatl list, and less like zoo, and may call for dropping to two colours on a budget.

If you do want to move up in CMC, Knight of New Alara offers multicolour-matters synergy, while the Naya Hushblade cycle isn't awful.

Darth_Savage on broke god deck

There are probably two ways to do golem tribal, the first, which is in RB would be reanimator effects Trash for Treasure and Endless Obedience probably being your best options, with Platinum Emperion and Mycosynth Golem as the creatures you want to cheat into play. The second option is the splicers, primarily these appear in GW; Blade Splicer, Master Splicer, Vital Splicer, Sensor Splicer and Maul Splicer (for completeness there is a blue splicer Wing Splicer). in addition to these, white also gives you access to Tempered Steel.

If you want a straight up Golem agro deck then that is a little harder. You almost certainly want Lodestone Golem and Golden Guardian  Flip, but early plays are difficult in tribe Chronomaton and Keeper of the Lens are the only 1 mana golems and Soultether Golem the only 2 mana option.

You certainly have set yourself a challenge, the tron lands and cavern will eat land hate and your chosen tribe doesn't have much support, particularly if you aren't playing white or blue. I recently helped another player build an artifact deck Sai and tezzy demo, the aim of which is basically to spam thopter tokens. One card that stands out as not really fitting is Hollow One, since Smuggler's Copter isn't enough support for it. I wish you luck with your brew and hope I've been of some help...

Gody322 on Heartless Summoning

I think the trick to this deck are the cheep draw spells (Night's Whisper and Sign in Blood) because they help you find the Heartless Summoning as fast as possible and let you keep up your tempo after Heartless Summoning is out. Once you get out a Heartless Summoning you want to go wide with Soultether Golem, Myr Superion and Lupine Prototype. Myr Retriever I thought of as more of a way to get back Perilous Myr, Necropede and the odd Soultether Golem. Since both Perilous Myr and Necropede are more to act as removal Myr Retriever can act as a redundancy to their effects. The thing that ties this deck together are the 10 draw spells.

But Necrotize! Think about the poor Soultether Golems. Those poor dudes haven't seen play in years, save for Norin the Wary EDH decks, that is.

Raging_Squiggle, exactly my point.

T1: Land, Sol Ring, Mana Crypt, Dark Ritual (Any ramp really), Mirrorworks
T2: Land, Panhandle, Mirroworks Triggers, Panhandle triggers, now you got 3 Panhandles.
T3: Altar of the Brood, get 2 more from Mirrorworks, causing 12 triggers of Altar of the Brood, milling for 12.
OR
Epochrasite, get 2 more from Mirrorworks, and the other two are 10/10's
OR
Ichor Wellspring, get 2 more from Mirrorworks, and you draw 6, back up to a full hand.
OR
Do something derpy with Soultether Golem, get two more of him, sadly the last one dies next turn, but the other two have 5 time counters and 3 time counters.

OH YEA. I like that last one.

I think your deck needs some bursty murderous artifacts, because the spells are not bursting the opponent down fast enough.

maybe...Arcbound Ravager: Eats artifacts if you need to win fights but don't have galvanic blast. He's a safe place to put counters, since if he dies he can just hand them off to someone else.

Myr Retriever: Doesn't afraid to die, since he can just give back a memnite or mishra's bauble. Chump block or shrapnel blast, whichever.

Porcelain Legionnaire: Two drop that will win most fights at that stage (with anything not named tarmogyff)

Signal Pest If you have enough creatures, he can bum rush pretty hard.

Perilous Myr: Another doesn't afraid to die creature

Soultether Golem: Another 3 power quick drop who will probably live plenty long enough in this deck

Immolating Souleater: If he goes unblocked you can suddenly pump him with mana or LIFE to get a killing blow. Might be more of a mana sink than is worth though.
