For a kitchen table deck you usually just want some way to remove opposing creatures. Path to Exile was the classic Modern staple for {W}, nowadays people usually prefer stuff like Prismatic Ending or Solitude but Path is still good.

Unfortunately, angels are not a very competitive Modern tribe since they're usually big inefficient creatures, and the more efficient angels are probably out of your budget range, e.g. Resplendent Angel. But for casual play this doesn't really matter, just try to focus on creatures that do something useful (draw a card, gain life, etc) while also having decent offensive stats, and maximize your copies of them. So for example, Inspiring Overseer isn't too bad since it's a 2 power flier while gaining 1 life and replacing itself, so 4 copies of it is probably a good idea.

Lord_of_Lords Only people with privs can edit which tokens are connected to a card. It was Resplendent Angel that had two angel tokens associated with it, I removed the offending one.

A few things.

1st off. I think a soul sisters deck and angel deck are not compatible. Soul sisters make and want as many lifegain triggers as possible. Maximizing cards like Voice of the Blessed . Angels i believe want to maintain x life above your starting life and gain in chunks of 5 for probably the best angel Resplendent Angel. These seem simular but that creates tough choices in deck design.

Book of Exalted Deeds with creature lands is a combo with Mutavault some decks just can't beat this.

I think you want the card draw off of Shelter but I personally think that card sux. You would likely be better with a green splash for just Collected Company or run a cheaper protection spell like Brave the Elements or a better card draw engine Welcoming Vampire perhaps.

Speaker of the Heavens is a suprise op card i have a angel deck on mtga for historic and it is a great agro card angels needed.

You are light in 1 key piece of any deck. Interaction.

March of Otherworldly Light is a favorite of mine.

Path to Exile could be decent

Dawn Charm niche counterspell/ protect a creature

Surge of Salvation protection vs opposing aggro

I'd suggest looking at another decks sideboard to help build a better one Check out decks like modern d&t or soul sister or angels and see what you want. But be sure to cover a few things.

Graveyard hate like Soul-Guide Lantern Something to fight control many different approachesCavern of Souls Thalia, Guardian of Thraben Artifact/enchantment hate Disenchant

And something for decks that you think you need more help with and expect to face. Perhaps a boardwipe for decks that go wide Doomskar or any other archetype/problem that needs fixing.

I think Resplendent Angel would be better than Archangel of Tithes in this deck. I also think Speaker of the Heavens would be another good one to add. Your creature density is also almost high enough I'm going to recommend a Collected Company Clean your sideboard out and put those into your maybe board so you can build an actual Sideboard but otherwise I think this deck looks good.

These should help make your deck more consistent. I'd take out cards that don't really do a whole lot to improve your overall strategy.

BotaNickill It's true that Giada, Font of Hope has made t2 a pretty important turn for this deck, if we have both her and Bishop of Wings what you play will pretty much determine our strategy for your next few turns. But overall we want bishop first. Think that every angel you cast with Bishop still in hand, is a bishop trigger you miss.

Of course this is not a rule, and there are many exception depending on the match up and mainly which one opens more plays with the rest of your hand. But I'll say that most exceptions normally involve ramping:

1- If we need her to ramp in t3 a t4 play. For example, in my build Giver of Runes, into Giada, Font of Hope into Shalai, Voice of Plenty or Sigarda, Font of Blessings is almost as good or even better depending on the matchup than Resplendent Angel online on t3. Or if we have both Giada and bishop, but also Youthful Valkyrie we may want to go Giada first so we can play the other 2 on t3 for a way more aggressive play.

2- If you kept a 2 lander without an Aether Vial or the vial has been removed, specially on the draw. We can't afford to miss our first landrops.

Overall, I'll say that if you don't need ramping next turn, Bishop is the best first option more often than not.

darkmus thanks for clarifying the turn three options for us! I've always wished for the deck to be faster and am always torn between casting bishop or giada if I have both, and some way to trigger Resplendent Angel sooner, so, that does help, Thanks! I guess it's time to break down and order another Aether Vial and another Seraph Sanctuary.
