Commander Deck Help forum

So I realized something very important today. Sygg, River Cutthroat's text is as follows: "At end of turn, if an opponent lost 3 or more life this turn, you may draw a card."
Curiously enough it didn't say "At the end of your turn". I wondered if this might have been an oversight and it appears not. Here's the updated oracle text: "At the beginning of each end step, if an opponent lost 3 or more life this turn, you may draw a card."
So what cards can I use to ensure that every single turn an opponent loses 3 life? I know cards like Sulfuric Vortex can help me get there but what or cards can do this? In a 4 player game I want to draw a card on every opponent's turn and one extra card on my turn while keeping up counter magic and killing them with the same effects that proc the card draw.
Lastly I do not want to run Nekuzaar, the Mindrazer because of his high CMC. I _am _fine with adding any color, even , if it gives me a good general and helps the Sygg strategy.
So encourage people to swing out.. I have just the card!
Season of the Witch should do nicely. People either swing or lose their creatures. If they lose the creatures that benefits me and if they swing it benefits me.. I just need to make sure that not to many of them are swinging at me!
While this is sort of suicidal it does ensure that T4 Erebos, God of the Dead resolves and can block right away.

Painful Quandary is great. I would definitely use Manabarbs if I played a deck. If I play are there any generals that could facilitate getting the right cards aside from Nekuzaar?
Manabarbs + Sulfuric Vortex would constantly trigger Sygg so I think it's maybe worth investigating. (But not Investigation haha)

Hey, I got a few ideas but seems like longshots:
Iron Maiden (Up the Irons!), maybe paired with Howling Mine or Temple Bell, while everyone get cards, you'll still have the upper hand for no mana.
Latch Seeker and the like will do the job on your turn.
Indulgent Tormentor could fit the theme as well.
Amphin Pathmage can help you as well, when opponents attack each other. Good politics in my opinion.
And also, on your comment involving Season of the Witch, there's Angel's Trumpet and these others:

It's a bit involved, but if you can protect your general with something like Darksteel Plate then Pestilence is an all-star for what you're trying to do. At least until you run out of .

@ hfvalenz - I've tried Indulgent Tormentor many times but he never worked out in other decks. BUT he didn't synergize with those generals and there was a Keranos, God of Storms EDH player running rampant at the time. For a Sygg deck he basically reads "draw an extra card each turn". He is an excellent Lieutenant for Sygg.
The Amphin Pathmage feels a little costly for what it does but as I don't want to invest a ton of money into this right away I'll try him out to. I also like the Hissing Miasma and Angel's Trumpet but feel as though I will only take one. Probably the Miasma I'm not sure yet.
@ Omeros - Thanks for reminding me of these cards. I have a Tezzeret the Seeker who can tutor up either Sword of Light and Shadow or Darksteel Plate so Pestilence is a good call.

I wouldn't add red, as it takes Sygg away from being your commander.
Pretty much you want things that hit everyone. Things like Patron of the Nezumi, Massacre Wurm, Polluted Bonds, Underworld Dreams, or the previously mentioned Pestilence and Pestilence Demon. You could also run extort creatures with a lot of instants in the deck.

Honestly, it might be good in some Nekusar, the Mindrazer builds. However, the extra cards are also probably not as important there...

Shes expensive but you could run Vela the Night-Clad along with some ninja type shenanigans and Cloudstone Curio, Conjurer's Closet etc.
She makes a nice lieutenant since she can act as a back up win con as well as benefitting sygg with both of her abilities.

@ Perpetual - I really dig Underworld Dreams, Polluted Bonds and Massacre Wurm.
@ Remyth - I"m still keeping Nekusar in mind but right now I've started building it as a Sygg deck.
@ LittleBlueHero - Cloudstone Curio does a lot of awesome things but I think for the Vela the Night-Clad combos I would rather use Thornbite Staff.

He also has the fun thing of being able to make two kinds of tribal decks around him obviously the other Sygg is better for Merfolk but he does really well for making a Rogue deck. His ability even complements most Rogues due to you wanting to hit your opponent a lot. Sure the Rogue deck won't be massively competitive but its fun as hell.

beakedbard you've inspired me to make a tribal rogue deck now.
Back on topic, have cards like Shipwreck Singer, Bullwhip, or Dulcet Sirens been mentioned yet? In combination with some pillow fort like Crawlspace or No Mercy or a pinger like Miasma (all already mentioned), you can force people to attack each other, resulting in mor off-turn triggers. throw in Magnetic Web for extra chaotic fun.

Oops, I accidentally linked a user instead of the card (Hissing Miasma). sorry, Miasma!

The best way to ensure life-loss each turn is to encourage it in other directions so definitely go with a U/B control base that "encourages" people to lose life or swing at others with large creatures, then just grind them out of the game with staxy enchantments and artifacts. Maybe even make it group huggy so they become less likely to hate you out.
Oho that seems fun xD makes me want to build this deck now. A good way to use Isolation Cell for sure :p
