History

I started this deck when SOI spoiler season as a UW spirits deck with cards like Azorius Herald and LatchSeeker as a pet deck... Which I started brewing with a competitive goal with Selfless Spirit and Spell Queller being spoiled.

Match Ups (sideboarding guide as well)

READ THIS BEFORE GOING FURTHER INTO THIS SECTION!!! This is simply a placeholder format for the sideboarding/ match ups guide. I've completed one match up guide so far, but I will work on the rest slowly as time is available to me. Continue! :D

There's a lot of match ups in modern and I don't side the same way against every deck archetype because the lists vary in tools and sideboard cards that they bring in. Despite this, I will go over sideboarding for some of the common high tier lists that dont require a lot of play against to know how to side since the cards that are bad against them in your mainboard are glaringly obvious. Bant spirits is a deck that rewards the pilot for knowing threats that your opponent will side in against you and siding not just according to what works against them but what makes their hate cards become blank draws. ( Thus, the more you know about the modern card pool, and metagame the better you'll do!)

Lantern Control 50-50 odds Show

Game 1 the only way to stop a bridge is with Spell Queller but we can still hit under bridge with Noble Hierarch so make sure to protect them with Kira, Great Glass-Spinner, Selfless Spirit and Mausoleum Wanderer incase of a bridge hitting the board. Keep track of cards they draw with Lantern of Insight in play (I recommend writing down each card they effectively draw so you know what answer to use for what). Whir of Invention is a scary tool, you'll need to counter Whir to not allow an instant speed bridge (one of their few ways to truly outplay you). the match up preboard is pretty difficult since we can't remove a resolved bridge, but postboard we do get a swing in favor after siding out our useless spells for an additional CoCo target and ways to interact with/ stop the lock.

KEY NOTE watch out for grafdigger's cage! Every list has it in their 75 and if you see them w/ 3+ of this degeneracy then side out 2x Collected Company for 2x Unified Will
