Went 3-1.
Once again, I got demolished by Undying. I also learned when I got home that Grafdigger's Cage has answers to it. As a bonus, it shut's down Green Sun's Zenith. So they've earned a very welcome spot in my sideboard. No other decks came even close to giving me problems. 4 Day of Judgments alongside multiple planswalkers just shut's decks down.
- 0-2 - I just got completely overrun by this deck. Even when I sideboarded in Phantasmal Images, and Sever the Bloodlines to copying and shut down their antics. I've literally tried everything to answer Undying, and Grafdigger's Cage is this decks only answer for it.
- 2-0 - No threat. I faced this one last week, and it was the same deal. Turn 4 Day of Judgment, turn 5+ planeswalker, planeswalker, Ect.. Win!
- 2-0 - Shut this deck down fast. Game one, the kid played 2 Drogskol Captains early game right off the bat, as well as a Lingering Souls. I played, and flashbacked Lingering Souls to chumpblock this onslaught. Turn 5 I played DOJ. Turn 6+ I played Batterskull, followed by consecutive walkers. He couldn't do anything after that.
- 2-0 - This deck was a sleeper to play against, I didn't even need Day of Judgment for this one! Second game, turn 4 I played Sever the Bloodline on 2 of his Champion of the Parishes he had out, and turn 5 and 6 I played Gideon Jura and Elspeth Tirel and it was over.
Thanks mairc86

Illusions and Delver were just no threat. As for pure Mono-Blue control, This deck is really powerful against the control mirror. Just play planeswalkers with mana open to play a Mana Leak so you can get them to resolve. Play their whole draw go game with them. The only decks this deck has problems with is aggresive aggro, like U/B Zombies with Phyrexian Obliterator , and Undying shinanegans. I tried to tailor a good sideboard for that though, and that match up still needs tweaks.

I was going to say, Aggro and Hellrider Undying seem to be heels of this deck. Still good build! =)

Nice deck (even if but the leet-speak name made me throw up a bit). +1
I expected Tribute to Hunger or Geth's Verdict in the sideboard for [[thrun, the last troll]. Also an Oblivion Ring or two for Shrine of Burning Rage. Mental Misstep against Surgical Extraction and Nihil Spellbomb. Of course your sideboard is up to your meta, but it seems like you have an abundance of token hate.

Thanks for all the +1's guys!
@ Graft
Thanks man.. I have Phantasmal Images to cover Undying, legendaries, and early aggro creatures. It's hard to shave cards off the list right now, so I can't find a spot for any Mental Missteps ATM. I have Nihil Spellbombs in the side already. Ratchet Bombs are my Oblivion Rings right now, those destroy Shrines also.

I love your deck, mostly because I find myself adoring Super Friends decks. Mine is Super Duper Friends(shameless plug). With that, I'd say you have a great formula here. With my experience, the two decks that I've lost to (the second one was a narrow victory that was probably due to misplays on my part) was green aggro and black zombies. The undying is killer, and the new indestructible ozzes can be troublesome. I like the Sever the Bloodlines, since that gets passed those nasty undying creatures, but I might suggest adding some Oblivion Rings. I know you run Elspeth Tirel, but exiling an ooze or a Geralf's Messenger is ungodly, and usually you don't need to ultimate with Elspeth (at least I don't when I use her). Another creature that may bother you is Thalia, Guardian of Thraben. Her t2 will slow you down significantly. You might be fine with two Go for the Throats and Tragic Slips mainboard, but she is something to think about, because humans is still one of the most solid decks in standard right now. I might also suggest Timely Reinforcements. Batterskull is good, but usually if your mana count gets high enough for you to feel confident playing that, you have already won or lost. Timelies fix that fast attack put in during the early turns and lets you hold onto that Day of Judgment a turn or two later for maximum effectiveness. That, and six life. Seriously, that life can and will save your ass, especially against the likes of Diregraf Captain and Geralf's Messenger. Again, I love your deck and hope it serves you well!

I really wish you had red so you could run Circle of Flame. God, that card just bitch slaps almost any aggro deck ran right now.

You make a lot of sense my friend. Humans isn't really a threat, i've beat my buddy's humans deck again and agian in testing. Thalia, Guardian of Thraben does suck, but nobody runs her at my meta. I would definitely cut a Mana Leak and add another Tragic Slip if she gets more popular. Like i've said, Undying aggro decks are the only problem right now, but I've seemed to get that match-up under control with the side. I switch out a lot of the control cards (Archangel's Light, Jace, Memory Adept, Mana Leak) for the more aggressive removals. Batterskull is amazing in aggro match-ups for it's vigilance/lifelink factor. I take out 3 Day of Judgments against Undying, and add the other 2 Sever the Bloodlines, I also add 3 Phantasmal Images to play their Undying game with them. Depending on how aggressive it is or not, i'll bring in the 3x Celestial Purges in tandem with 3 Mana Leaks.

test this deck against blue black zombies with tons of token creation, test this against blue black mill, test this against a green red kessig wolf run ramp, and then see if it holds up and you should have a good chance at a tourney with this in salt lake come then end of march

Too bad you have no ways to destroy artifacts even after siding. GL playing against tempered steel lol. Also, it looks like Wolf Run Ramp is your worst nightmare right next to RG aggro decks and zombies.

Wolf Ramp shouldn't be too much trouble for this deck. The only scary card is Inkmoth Nexus, but he still has some Tragic Slips and some Gideon Juras for that. Perhaps a Ghost Quarter or two wouldn't hurt.

If they side in a mimic vat it's gonna be an absolute nightmare for this deck, especially that most of the spells here are sorcery speed
March 6, 2012 11:43 a.m.
Decks can't cover every base guys haha. Ratchet Bombs destroy artifacts, and i've went up against my brother-in-laws wolf run deck and won. Day of Judgment ruins their fun. Trample is somewhat of an issue, but you just have to think your way out of trouble. Every deck doesn't have to be an exact replica of another in today's standard. It's SO boring.
March 6, 2012 12:48 p.m.
How is Mimic Vat an absolute nightmare? My deck runs no creatures except snap.. Gideon Jura turns into one, but just don't use him as a win condition.
March 6, 2012 3:14 p.m.
i think he means that you can't keep on killing it (he just needs to pay 3), above i was saying how that is a good combo, with primeval titan it is paying 3 for 4 lands and possibility of 6 damage, or with gravetitan 4 zombies, inferno titan is 6 damage and so on
March 6, 2012 4:55 p.m.
Right I get that, but by the time Mimic Vat is doing anything relevant, like spiting out a Titan every turn, all my walkers are set up. I can easily chump block with a Elspeth Tirel, or Sorin, Lord of Innistrad token.

a couple of slag storms in there and you will be finished
March 6, 2012 11:31 p.m.
Haha, splash red.. No thanks. It would be funny running more sweepers though.. My opponents get pissed off enough as it is.

Mimic Vat will be getting you a tough creature @ turn 4-5 and I really want to see how Elspeth Tirel or Sorin, Lord of Innistrad is supposed to block a trampling Primeval Titan, Inferno Titan that's able to kill 6 of your tokens before even dealing its own damage or a flying Rune-Scarred Demon. Hell, even Glissa, the Traitor at 6 mana is becoming problematic :) I've playtested GB ramp against this and sadly it's a very bad matchup for you. Add some Revoke Existence to your sideboard like all the white decks gotta do, especially that there are so many other good cards you can get rid of with that :)

i always loved the idea of a planeswalkers deck, would it be weak to mono-blue control?
