When I created this deck I just started playing Magic. At first it wasn't a strong deck but I liked it a lot so I kept upgrading it over the time. My budget got higher so I could use more expensive cards. Now my deck looks like this and I even won FNM with it twice!

Well at first we want to make some shiney treasures. We can do that by playing cards like treasure map and dire fleet hoarder . In the late game we can counter the big play our opponent wants to make with Spell Swindle and gain more than enough treasures. After we have 5 of them (Depending on our opponents life total) we can play our sweet Marionette Master. If you've read the second part of the card you'll understand what will happen next. When tokens get sacrifed or destroyed they will go to the graveyard and then disintegrate into nothing. So if we have 5 treasures and sacrifice them, Marionette Master will trigger it's ability 5 times. Marionette Master is a 4/6 after she fabricated so just do the maths. 4 x 5 = 20. There is literally nothing more satisfying than seeing your opponent calculating this little sum.
The combo we're trying to do here requires us to have a lot of mana and a lot of treasure tokens. So those will be our main goals. The most fital early game card we play is treasure map . This card does exactly what we want. Filter cards so we can get enough mana, create 3 treasures when we have the mana and if we find ourselfs in the late game without Marionette Master and to much treasures we can sacrifice one for a card draw. I'm also playing Tezzeret the Schemer because basicly creates treasures per turn. And if we have 3 treasures we can boost our Marionette Master to a 7/3 and win with only 3 treasures. Because offcourse 7 x 3 = 21.

Off course our opponent isn't going to stand by and watch us getting rich. That's we we're going to make him watch with a nice counterbase. Censor to counter his early plays and Essence Scatter to prevent him from getting nasty creatures on the board. And if he managed to get through some of it we can remove it with Fatal Push even if his converted mana cost is 4 because we almost always have a treasure to sacrifice if needed. And if his board gets to big because we we're to busy getting rich we can just use Bontu's Last Reckoning to clean up.

When we live the rich peoples life we basicly won the game. Although if you don't watch out all could be for nothing. If we haven't already we've got to find our combo lady Marionette Master. In 90% of all games you will find one or even two in your way on getting rich but sometimes the ladies are shy. But if we keep spending money with treasure map she'll come eventually. And if she all 4 of them are at the bottom of your libary you can search for them with Mastermind's Acquisition.

Now playing a Marionette Master and keeping it on the board isn't easy. Depending on what your opponent plays you'll have to counter whatever he got to prevent you from playing this creature. If they play controll they most likely will try to counter it with whatever counterspell they have. If you play against mono red aggro or black controll they will most likely try to Lightning Strike her or use Cast Down. Since she has fabricate she will be a 1/3 when casted so she is an easy target for Lightning Strike. If she survived all of these we will start sacrificing our treasures. But the terror doesn't stop here. Be sure to sacrifice your treasures on by one because you dont want to see all this damage go to waste when your opponent plays Moment of Craving or Vicious Offering. Note that if you have a counterspell in hand you can use the mana from your treasures to cast the counterspell. If you know your opponent is capable of doing on of these things then try to keep some mana open for a counterspell. You should also be able to use Mastermind's Acquisition to get a negate from your sideboard (Thinking about mainboarding negate).

Negate offcourse for the controll match up.

Duress also for the controll match up. Although I haven't seen it being that usefull this far.

card:Sentinal Totem should be boarded in against decks using the graveyard a lot. Since we're doing nothing with our own graveyard we can use this one and the scry 1 really doesn't hurt to find our land drop.

Gifted Aetherborn against aggro or big creature decks. Somehow the stop attacking when this guy is on the battlefield.

Sailor of Means Against aggro. You can use it as a wall and it gets you a treasure. Sometimes I even get one with Mastermind's Acquisition just for the treasure.

Torment of Hailfire because when our opponent plays Lost Legacy and calls Marionette Master we want a desperate win condition to fall back on. If this happens, try to sideboard one Marionette Master so if it happens again you can get one back with Mastermind's Acquisition

Revel in Riches: I find this card to be really slow and if we want good use out of it we will have to play it at turn 5. But then we're tapped out so we can't do anything in our opponents turn. It rarely was usefull when I played itand besides. Why would we want to win with 10 treasures if we can win with 5.

Mechanized Production: I found this card to be better than Revel in Riches because it did win me some games. But it's just too slow sadly enough. I guess you could play it instead of

Mastermind's Acquisition but Mastermind's Acquisition is just a lot more flexible.

Rampaging Ferocidon: Now this one may seems strange but this deck has one big weakness and thats life gain. Every 4 life our opponent gains is one treasure we need to make extra. We can play it very often by just using a treasure to create red mana. I never really got to play it because shortly after I sideboarded them they got banned.

Deadeye Plunderers: I found this card to be really funny but it is really expensive and too easly removed.

Walk the Plank: I played this card before I had the money for Fatal Push but I never liked it. It's sorcery speed and the two black mana often was annoying since the deck is mostly black. And I play against a lot of merfolk.

Contraband Kingpin: It just isn't really as usefull. It basicly gains you no life and treasure map already does scrys for us.

Sorry for the extremly long explanation about the deck. I just felt like sharing my favorite standard deck and explaining it in the finest details. If you have any suggestions I would be glad to hear them. Hope you liked the deck!
