Vicious Offering Discussion

I also think your deck needs more consistence. Here's a Vampire deck I've been playing for a while: Mavren Fein and the Fanatic 88! W/B Vampires
I found playing that deck that creatures like Vona, Butcher of Magan or Arvad the Cursed are way too slow. Against the Mono-Red deck you want everything to be cheaper, in that you might be halfway dead by turn 5. And against control, there's a low probability of resolving, by turn 5 they have a bunch of counterspells.
Something I would definitely consider as a 4-of is Sanctum Seeker, sometimes you just need to play that, attack with a bunch of tokens and drain them to death! Also, Elenda, the Dusk Rose is an amazing creature, that leaves several bodies behind when she dies. And besides that, I would recommend a low agro curve, it's what has been working for me. Cheap creatures, some cheap removal like Vicious Offering (specially when you can sac tokens, and kill them ASAP.
Well, that's my suggestion, based on what I've seen in my LGS. But there's tons of different metagames. Whatever works for you, makes fun games for you is the way to go! :D

Another flavor side card could be Vicious Offering it kills most of indestructible cards people play. Other than that Seal Away would be solid choice for the same thing and not require a creature but has a chance of coming back

Hi tjjonny2000, thanks again for commenting! I've decided to replace Vraska's Contempt with two more copies of Vicious Offering in the mainboard, and I moved one copy of Vraska's Contempt to the sideboard. I think that exiling a giant creature or planeswalker at instant speed might still come in handy in some matchups. I also feel like I should at least be running one copy of the card, since it's so powerful. Do you have any more suggestions? :)

Thank you for the reply :D i think that Vicious Offering deals with almost every problem creature that sees play in standard at the moment including all the mono gods and lyra. (scarab god is barely seeing play/ is fringe play)
other big creatures if there is any, dont have trample so you can chump block for days
In regards to planeswalkers i dont think you care about your opponents planeswalkers... you dont need an instant answer at least.. you can keep going wide so they wont be able to protect it much from your sappling onslaught.

Hi tjjonny2000, thanks for commenting! I'm considering running more copies of Vicious Offering, however, I'm not sure if Vraska's Contempt should be replaced. Virtually, it's the deck's only way to deal with planeswalkers and big legendary creatures. Would you mind telling me your perspective on this? :)

@Melanthios, so I did more testing. I got dropped straight on my ass last Wednesday at Showdown. What I've learned, is that the deck in its current state, is completely vulnerable to any form of removal. Vicious Offering, Fatal Push, Cast Down, Vraska's Contempt basically spank anything you throw out. The counters you mentioned along with dive down are definitely not a bad idea. One with the wind is also a great idea. I'll change up the sideboard and let you know how it goes this Friday!
Thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated!
