Amaranthine Wall is a great target for Phylactery Lichs counter. Cards like Fatal Push/Cast Down for removal and maybe even Vicious Offering paired with Reassembling Skeleton

Journey is actually pretty easy to flip surprisingly check out my list for a few ideas.

things like Vicious Offering are incredibly powerful allowing you to flip a journey and kill a creature all for 2 mana all of which can easily happen on turn 3. Turn one dual land and elf turn two land and journey turn three land kill something for -5/-5 get the elf back flip the journey and have 3 mana available for use. Another way the combo works well turn 1 land elf turn two land Thrashing Brontodon turn three land enchant sac brontodon targeting the enchantment trigger goes on stack journey flips you get brontodon back and the "destroy target enchant" effect fizzles. I flip journey all the time and do very well with discard as well. I don't see any significant win cons outside of the flying demon everything else can pretty easily be taken care of. I would definitely consider dropping all 4 branchwalkers and probably two jadelight rangers. outside of exploring they have no effect on the board state. I would surely bump the Journey up to 4 of at minimum a 3 of they are in the name of the deck the last thing you want to do is not have it in most of your games which is very possible at only 2 of. Also keep in mind there is absolutely nothing wrong with having off color bombs in the deck. A flipped journey taps for any color and of course the name of the game is recursion with journey so just throw it into the graveyard and bring it back in for 5 mana.

Welcome to Tapped Out!

From what I gather from your description you're aiming for a budget deck that doesn't cost too much, correct?
I'd go looking for some Dominaria cards to replace some of those M19's you have. Picking up Cast Down to replace Murder and Vicious Offering to replace Strangling Spores would be good starts. Graveyard Marshal or Josu Vess, Lich Knight would be a better alternative to Infectious Horror.

This would fall under a Casual or a Modern format from some of the cards you have. It shouldn't be too hard to turn it into a Standard deck since you predominately do have Dominaria cards here.

As far as some suggestions are concerned, I'd drop Evra, Halcyon Witness for Josu Vess, Lich Knight. Lich's Mastery in your sideboard doesn't really go with this deck. Vicious Offering wouldn't be a bad choice allowing you to kill a number of other creatures that can get in your way. A Detection Tower can be a nice addition if you run across hexproof abilities. Invoke the Divine is good for artifacts and enchantments. Blackblade Reforged or Forebear's Blade could replace Sword of War and Peace to direct it to the Standard format.

I'm a sucker for themed decks, and while you may not know it, you've got the foundation for one in Bogbrew Witch, Bubbling Cauldron, and Festering Newt. Running a full 4 copies of the witch and the cauldron will allow you to take advantage of them more often. Also, 4 copies of Supernatural Stamina lets you recur Festering Newt for more shenanigans.

Viscera Seer is a great scry card, letting you set up your draws at the cost of sacrificing a creature.

Zulaport Cutthroat, Blood Artist, and Mogg War Marshal are 2-drops that benefit you when they die, which means they combo decently with your cauldron and the Viscera Seer card I mentioned above.

Cast Down and Vicious Offering are great cheap removal spells; Fatal Push is best if you decide to build something sacrificial.

I love the combination of Cemetery Recruitment with Lurching Rotbeast. That's 12 cards worth of card draw over the course of the game. Adding some Zombies to take advantage of Recruitment isn't bad.

Sorry. I know these are a lot of suggestions. These are what came to mind when I saw this.

Edit:

I didn't realize that Bontu had 6 Toughness, therefore the only Gods that can be killed with a kicked Vicious Offering are Hazoret the Fervent, Kefnet the Mindful and Rhonas the Indomitable. I apologize for the mistake.

multimedia, have you tried adding some more sac outlets and/or token producers? Saprolings come to mind here.

Hey CaptMDKirk, thanks for the upvote and suggestion. Nature's Way is a good card with Archer and I could see playing one or two in the sideboard, but Vicious Offering I think has more interaction with sacrifice the theme. It's worth noting that if I can ultimate -10 Vraska and make my opponent at l life with Archer on the battlefield I can play Offering sac another creature and just win the game. Now, I can do this play also with Archer and Way to win the game because the deathtouch of Archer will kill my opponent's creature I target, but Offering can be played at instant speed in response to my opponent trying to gain life.
