Stick to your guns. You have a clear game plan and I have no doubts that this deck will do exactly what you're setting out to do. It's a hilarious concept. I really like it. Let me know how it all plays out. +1 from me.

Thanks, mang! I'm glad you like it. I've kind of fallen out of my "try-hard" phase in MTG, and have found myself playing more and more EDH, as it's generally more social.

I really want people to go "Oh no, it's Zur" when they first see the deck, and leave the game thinking "What the hell was that deck even trying to do?"

Maybe Gift of Immortality?

One of my good friends at college used to play this card a lot, so I considered it. I realized it's not all that great because Zur still loses his other Auras, and I have no graveyard interaction in this deck.

I actually went with Blessing of Leeches instead because Regeneration won't force Zur to leave the battlefield, thus letting him keep his auras.

Strionic Resonator.

Considered briefly before, but decided against it due to the prevalence of shroud in this deck.

However, looking at Strionic Resonator again, I see that it targets a triggered ability, not the creature itself... Can I proc this artifact on my shrouded Zur?

I've seen some Zur decks run Bitterblossom + Contamination , don't know if that's something this deck is interested in doing.

I considered Contamination, but seeing as how I want to play EDH for the social aspect, and considering how utterly untouchable my enchantments are if I manage to get out 2x Greater Auramancy via Copy Enchantment...

Idk, it's less mischief and more win-con. The last thing I want to do is render most decks on the board useless because that's just not fun for everyone else.

It's funny you say you don't want to completely disable other decks with your strategy, but then run cards such as Stony Silence or Energy Flux, which are able to do exactly that. They can single handedly kill certain decks or at least make them a pain in the ass to play.

Yeah, those cards are a little more specific and allow me to shut down those types of decks if needed. Those cards are nice to have as backup and I don't have to play them.

The difference between a card like Stony Silence and a card like Contamination is that the former can be played without feeling like a total dick. It's not the shutdown I have a problem with, it's the fact that Contamination affects way more people in your average EDH match.

I can't imagine a single situation (barring everyone else playing mono-black) where I could play Contamination and I wouldn't be the prime focus of everybody on the table for the current and future games.

I'd recommend Command Tower over Pillar of the Paruns.

When we are already discussing the manabase...some lands, that can produce more colours would be indeed good for this deck. City of Brass, Gemstone Mine, Mana Confluence, Reflecting Pool and the fastlands like Seachrome Coast and the other colour combinations (BW can be found in Kaladesh). For a consistent manabase you should consider dual lands, if your budget allows it...and if not, at least play ALL fetchlands, that include at least one of your colours.

I'll mess around with my mana base while still keeping the deck cheap(ish) after work tonight, thanks for the suggestions! I'm not gonna use fetch lands as the prevalence of tutoring in this deck practically eliminates my need to thin things out further, plus they cost a lot of money.

No Ghostly Prison? Stacking those affects slow your opponents down and let you keep doing what your deck does best. Also, maybe Hissing Miasma.

I don't know if Crystal Chimes would be useful or not, but I'd recommend that as your only "non-enchantment" card, possibly!

Seriously, Animate Dead is arguably better than Necromancy in this deck due to the fact that the enchantment comes into play attached to the reanimated creature, giving them auto-shroud if Greater Auramancy is out.

I see enchantment decks and I always recommend Academy Rector for tutoring. And you may get that Conjured Currency.

acefalo- It will work. Academy Rector + Strionic Resonator allows for tutoring of two enchanments.

* Aurafication * Ensnaring Bridge * Angel's Trumpet * Sphere of Safety * Crawlspace * Phyrexian Processor * Moat * Luminarch Ascension * Silent Arbiter * Magus of the MoatI know some of the are over 3 mana and others are artifacts or creatures but they are phenominal cards for this deck. You may also want to consider having more mana ramp. Thanks for your consideration.
