A deck I build for fun mostly from cards I already owned to play some modern.

Thanks to Axebane Guardian and Overgrown Battlement defender creatures are very usefull to gain a ridiculous amount of mana and so the basic idea of the deck is to play some walls gain a ton of mana and then win with one of many different win conditions. The most flashy one is the combo kill with Staff of Domination it requires a wall that can tap for 5 mana, then we can get infinite mana and draw our entire deck to kill the opponent with Walking Ballista. Sometimes we don't even need infinite mana to kill with Ballista which is nice. Assault Formation is of course an auto-include in a defender deck making walls into undercosted threats and allowing for a quick beatdown, the pump effect is also usefull to spend all that mana on. Dusk / Dawn is also very important as a 4 mana Plague Wind and the aftermath helps rebuild if our opponent is killing our walls.The mana base is horrible right now and maybe i will upgrade it in future but I can say that creature lands are very important as they shore up some weaknessess in the deck notably fliers and planewalkers. Cycling lands are also very usefull and more often cycled than played which helps in finding important cards. Westvale Abbey   is one of my favourite MTG cards as non white decks struggle to deal with Ormendahl and creating an army of tokens is a good way to stall or sometimes even win a game.

Sideboard is almost completly random and could be way better. As for as matchups go if our opponent is playing a "fair" interactive deck than we have a reasonable chance of success because sometimes even a single Hornet Nest makes any attack bad but if our opponent is not interested in making any attacks than they will probably combo off faster than we can.Anyway my experience with this deck so far is very positive as I have won way more games than I expected :D
