Deck is +1/+1 Counter based, with Hardened Scales and Thalia's Lieutenant/Champion of the Parish forming the core; Human Allies form a secondary subtheme to compliment that core, especially since Hada Freeblade & Kazandu Blademaster both put a +1/+1 counter on themselves when they enter the battlefield, which is amazing with 1-4 Hardened Scales in play! Harabaz Druid is a bargain at 2 mana, since she taps for a minimum of 1-mana all by herself & also triggers the Humans/Allies counters as she ETB's. Grand Abolisher is just an awesome ability on a Human-body-trigger, & same goes for Abzan Falconer, which gives all my creatures flying & the option next turn of giving everyone a +/+1 counter, hopefully with a Hardened Scales already in play. Every single creature is fetchable via Collected Company, so the deck is very creature-heavy, with just 3x Path to Exile for problematic creatures & 1x Rancor to push damage through. Only 20 lands; Collected Company is at the top of the curve, & Harabaz Druid can usually tap for 2-3 mana fairly consistently. In fact, with Harabaz Druid in play, I can even get my Collected Company back from the graveyard with Eternal Witness, then cast it same turn. I don't expect this deck to be competitive, & I haven't really had a chance to playtest it yet, but the idea is fairly straightforward & it should be a fun casual deck. One possible play order is: T1- Hardened Scales; T2- Hardened Scales, Champion of the Parish; T3- Rancor, Thalia's Lieutenant.. then swing with a 9/8 Trample on T3.. if I play Collected Company T4 & get a Lantern Scout & another Thalia's Lieutenant, that would make Champion of the Parish an 18/17 Trampler with Lifelink on T4! This actually happened for me, btw.. and that first Thalia's Lieutenant was also able to swing as a 10/10 with Lifelink, so it was Game Over lol.. the alternative strategies are still pretty strong- Abzan Falconer would add +1/+1 Counters plus Flying, Eternal Witness would let me get back my CoCo, Grand Abolisher & Spellskite let me stop worrying about removal for a bit, etc, etc.. pretty aggressive start if I can get it going!
