Intro! I have been playing various iterations of mono black coffers for about 5 months now. I was excited for MH3 and before getting too deep of a look at the set I had decided I wanted to put Sorin of House Markov  in my coffers deck to use as a combo kill with March of Wretched Sorrow. Once I put it together, granted I didn't do a whole lot of testing, it just didn't perform or play the way I was hoping for, so I scrapped the idea. Since Pillage the Bog is basically Demonic Tutor, I thought I could build coffers with a splash of green - especially motivated as someone who has been abusing Pick Your Poison in his prowess list a ton recently. After Sorin my next favorite card of the set and a card I actually got a stamped version of at my prerelease event was Six. I packed 2 Ocelot Pride's as well and that was enough to take first in that event. After this recent success at my prerelease event I'm scrolling goldfish and to my surprise the mosr recent Coffers list to put up decent results was Freestrider Lookout Golgari Coffers decklist. My friends thought the deck looked fun and I agreed, but to me a 3 mana creature that died to bolt was just not what I wanted to sleeve up, so I wondered what my happen if I slotted in one of my favorite MH3 cards and alter the rest of the list a bit.

My Questions. With the Six and Life from the Loam package it makes the argument against Urza's Saga(probably a 1 or 2 of) that we need to keep our lands less valid and gives the card a higher ceiling. Saga or not I do think playing a number of some 1 drop artifacts is correct whether it's to protect ring from opposing Pick Your Poison or to be a coincidental useful maindeck hate card. The question is which is/are the correct one(s)? I want some graveyard hate not playing Cling to Dust, which would make me to go Relic of Progenitus, but I want to keep my GY, so that leaves Nihil Spellbomb, Stone of Erech, and Soul-Guide Lantern. There's a few storm, storm, and titan players at my local meta so Vexing Bauble is enticing as well. All of those 1 cost artifacts as well as Mishra's Bauble go great as retrace targets for Six as well. It's probably too cute, but thinking about retracing Fulminator Mage with Six sounds like it could be brutal. I am really only playing Sheoldred because without cling I'm worried about maintaining my life total. There being multiple burn players in my meta certainly makes a good argument for Sheoldred too, but I could easily be persauded to cut her. I thought with the extra color taking up more flex slots that, however unintuitive, it's possible to cut Damnation and Toxic Deluge using spot removal combined with Walking Ballista and top deck willing, Karn grabbing an Oblivion Stone to fill their role.

”Deep within the Cabal's vault, the Mirari pulsed like a dead sun—and its darkness radiated across Otaria.”
