This deck is from a series of five decks made with the original Elder Dragon legends. The goal is to use the old cards of yesteryear and try the capture the feel of playing an epic old-timey duel where big multi-colored meatheads carom off of eachother. I've tried to make each deck true to the flavor of the the respective elder dragon, and give each one its own feel and playstyle. I made the rule that I could pull cards from anywhere between the earliest sets (alpha/beta/Unlimited) all the way to Alliances, which I figured is the last set to come out before the game truly started to modernize. I also tried to not repeat cards between decks, which was tricky, and I did allow some exceptions, namely non-basic lands and cards like Fellwar Stone and Sol Ring. Still, it was a nice deck-building challenge. These decks are all functionally done, but each one has at least one or two cards I'd still like to get for it (old cards can be pricey).

The Chromium deck is the blue deck. Along with Arcades this is one of the more controlling decks. Since blue is the main color it has the best counter spells and card-draw available. This deck is based more around tricky spells and strong artifacts to throw your opponents off balance and erect a defense. There is also quite a bit of creature-stealing, clone style effects, and some powerful flyers. While this deck is less likely to peter out compared to some of the others, it is prone to very slow starts and has a lot of mana-hungry cards in it.
