Reach, ward (Whenever this becomes the target of a spell or ability an opponent controls, counter it unless that player pays .)

Whenever you cast a creature or planeswalker spell, venture into the dungeon. This ability triggers only once each turn. (If you aren't venturing through a dungeon, choose one of the dungeon cards you own from outside the game, put it into the command zone and put a venture counter on the first room of that dungeon. All effects of that room trigger. When you venture into the dungeon while you have a dungeon in the command zone, advance to the next room downward of your choice and triggering all effects of that room. When you have resolved the effects of the last room of the dungeon, remove that dungeon from the game. You can only venture through one dungeon at a time.)

Whenever you complete a dungeon, create a 2/2 green Wolf creature token.

May 3, 2024, I started a new quest. Having built 52 decks, I endeavoured to play them all, in roughly the same order as I created them.

Tivit won, tried to win with Time Sieve but Thrashing Brontodon on board disenchanted it, thanks Varis, Silverymoon Ranger. Still, Tivit kept pounding, connecting for his Council's Dilemma trigger, and the deck overcame Kurtis's Terastodon triple Stone Rain. Illusion of Choice allowed my Plea for Power to be an extra turn spell. Inspiring Statuary with 13 Clue tokens enabled so much! Rune-Scarred Demon found Final Parting for Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward combo--I had the Animate Dead in my hand--Nevermaking Nevermaker all opponents' nonland permanents to the top of their libraries with infinite Tyvit triggers. Record goes to 25-27-1 for a .481 win percentage.

I did some due diligence and looked into the dungeon mechanic & some lines to set it up. I think your best three cards are Varis, Silverymoon Ranger, Acererak the Archlich and Intrepid Outlander. Varis and Outlander push you in a creature-heavy direction whereas Acererak wants long games to accumulate value. I think it's important to focus on cards that let you grind and get those cast triggers & creatures. You can stay Black / Green for a solid two-color manabase with Castles and Eye Tyrants, or you could consider splashing white for some incredible creature cards like Wedding Announcement  Flip. I think 2 colors is the way to go but an Abzan build opens a lot of great doors. It's worth a test.

For one-drops, I think 4 Thoughtseize and 4 Fatal Push is a good standard for a reason. It fights combo decks, aggro decks & control decks well. You can always swap out the Pushes and Thoughtseizes for matchups where they're irrelevant.

For two-drops, I think 4 Mosswood Dreadknight and 4 Intrepid Outlander are solid, along with 2 Reckoner Bankbuster. Maybe there's another 2 drop creature worth considering?

For three drops I think you want 4 Varis, Silverymoon Ranger for sure. It's important to remember a lot of "Venture Into The Dungeon" creatures are a bit too expensive for Pioneer & need to stick around to accrue that value. Varis gives you venture triggers for playing spell you already want to be playing so moving him up to four seems like an easy inclusion. Idk if you need 4 Murderous Rider for this deck if you include all the removal I suggested, but 2 or 3 is understandable. I honestly wonder if Acererak should be limited to 2 copies. He doesn't impact the board when you play him for several turns in a row but he's a 5/5 that attacks for 7 in the late game after you've completed Tomb of Annihilation.

A note on Glissa Sunslayer: She's amazing on boards where combat matters but awful against any opponent who doesn't care about getting attacked. Putting her in a shell where people have to fight her gets you the most value. If you disrupt your opponent's hand and force them to get into the red zone she'll take you far.

As weird as it sounds I don't think the Tomb of Annihilation -> Acererak should be the only focus of the deck. It's nice to set him up but it might be worth it to play a curve-out game into Lost Mine or Mad Mage. Something to think about perhaps.

I love stupidly obscure commanders. I have a Lady Zhurong, Warrior Queen voltron deck that is pretty stupid and fun. I also have a Diaochan, Artful Beauty kinda politics deck that is weird too. I don’t know why this one is more rare, but I have Varis, Silverymoon Ranger as my elfball commander and he is SO good.

Ik denk niet dat Mana Flare en Dictate of Karametra veel voor je gaan doen, meer voor je tegenstanders. Daarnaast denk ik dat Fearless Pup, Ferocious Pup, Wandering Wolf en Young Wolf relatief zwak zijn.

Mogelijk includes zijn Unnatural Moonrise, Somberwald Beastmaster, Varis, Silverymoon Ranger, Arlinn, Voice of the Pack en Wolfcaller's Howl

Tovolar's Huntmaster  Flip, Immerwolf, Full Moon's Rise en Duskwatch Recruiter  Flip zouden voor mij autoincludes zijn.

Ze zijn bij cardmarket geloof ik allemaal goedkoper dan een euro, behalve Immerwolf, die is 1.50

Mothrider should be Shanna, Sisay's Legacy . It's bigger, also legendary, and just plain better outside flying.

As this is (from what I've read) more casual, Sigrid, God-Favored is pretty good and deserves consideration.

Varis, Silverymoon Ranger is coming out soon and might be worth your consideration.

I honestly don't have much more outside the suggestion of a couple Arctic Treeline to make your mana slightly better. This is, legitimately, a solid deck. Not pro tour worthy and might not dominate at FNM, but it works and it's fun and it's well built.
