Modern Zoo 2: Electric Boogaloo

Zoo has always been my favorite modern archetype. Naturally, I eventually went about making a Zoo deck of my own. That was before I saw the prices of Zoo staples like Tarmogoyf and the land base. I decided to make a zoo deck that could be competitive, but was also fun and easily accessible. I was met with harsh criticism against my omission of Tarmogoyf, but I think that a good quality of the Zoo archetype is its ability to adapt and thrive. My hope is that people will view this deck not as an insult to the traditional Zoo deck, but instead as an extension of the living and ever-changing game that is Magic: The Gathering. This deck utilizes fast and efficient creatures like Kird Ape , Wild Nacatl , and Vexing Devil to get quick aggro on the board while using spells like Boros Charm, Path to Exile, and Lightning Bolt to keep the damage flowing and secure a quick victory.
