The main point of this deck is for the player to gain life, while also causing the opponent to lose life. This is accomplished by abilities such as Lifelink and Extort, and various ETB abilities.

The deck is built around Athreos, God of Passage and his potential ability to deal damage when the player's own creatures dies. There to back him up is Falkenrath Noble.

This deck is not afraid to lose creatures or even sacrifice them, since the creatures can easily be returned to both the battlefield as well as it's owner's hand by cards such as: Athreos, God of Passage, Profane Command and Recover.

Lone Rider   and Divinity of Pride are mainly there as potential powerhouses, and they are simply too cool to pass up!
