This is arguably the single most convoluted way to win. I want this deck. +1 for the most creativity I have ever seen.

I don't usually like combo decks, but this is the closest a MTG deck can get to art. +1

Thanks! The final draft, I guess you could call it, has been complete since July/August-ish. I had been working on it for about a year and a half prior to then.

Priest of Gix is not a human creature card. I'm afraid you combo is flawed

Is there any way to make a Commander/EDH variant of this deck?
January 15, 2017 8:36 p.m.
I don't play commander/EDH but I had thought about it before. I would imagine that you would have to have a way of tutoring up what you need since there is a definite lack of variations of cards that are needed. For example, even with the lack non-land mana generators and using something like Mana Severance and lands you would still be stuck with only two cards to self mill fast enough Undercity Informer and Balustrade Spy. As I noted above it is best to have one of these in your opening hand. Instead of a 8/60 or 2/15 chance you are looking at a 2/100 or 1/50 chance of getting one. There are many cases like this. Also there are no sideboards in Commander/EDH so you would have to have the sideboard in your main deck leaving you with even more cards you likely wouldn't want on turn 1. I am not saying it is impossible to do but would be extremely difficult. You could likely take the sideboard (with a replacement for the 2nd Oblivion Ring I know there is something that would work I just can't think of the card off the top of my head) and build a deck around it. It would be quite different and though the end result may be the same it would work quite differently getting there. There is also the lack of good 5 color commanders for a deck like this. The commander would likely end up just being for show.

No you didn't but I did manage to miss your comment sorry. It is in fact a human creature card. Look at the card link you posted for more current errata. I just like the older versions since I have been playing since Mirage block. My playset I pulled from boosters when Urza's block first came out. Why replace with new ones? Back then things weren't as standardized as they are now. They said Summon on a lot of them instead of Creature and never included more than one creature type ie human cleric minion such as Priest of Gix is.

Did they mess with the formatting syntax? Oblivion Ring is showing up as LRW for some reason. I have also noticed on other decks that x + Y is not showing up as card links at all.

This is beautiful. Thank you for making this.

@CommanderNeyo I have looked a little more into a Commander version of this. I figure, what better challenge. Then I got to thinking. Isn't Commander almost always multiplayer? That kind of rules out option #1 as it is really only useful in 1 on 1. While not as impressive on the whole, focusing on option #2 might be the better choice. This may make it a little easier to build a deck around. However I was also talking to some people at the local game shop. Consensus is that unless there are a large number of cards that have good synergy and do similar things that it isn't a good idea to play Commander combo decks. Reason #2 that I have never played or really had the desire to play or build a deck for Commander. Reason #1 being that I just can't wrap my head around a 100 card singleton deck. To me, the deck size should shrink not expand. 4/60 or 6.66% vs 1/100 or 1%. 1%? Ouch! Not enough control for me. If I wanted to play something with such low odds I'd just play blackjack or poker. That being said, if you, or someone else, would like to help me in working on a Commander version of this, someone who actually plays it and can give me some insight, I am more than willing to collaborate.
