C14 changes —Nov. 26, 2014
Cleaning up the comments, as I've changed the deck quite a bit.
With the amount of ramp I have, 34 has worked out well for the most part. Also, I took out Sylvan Primordial (recently banned) and replaced him with Woodfall Primus

I would consider swapping the Bow of Nylea for Fires of Yavimaya and you could also put in Stonebrow, Krosan Hero .since Nylea gives everyone trample he makes them all way overpowered. Borborygmos is swinging for 8 right out of hand and Spellbreaker Behemoth is keeping everyone protected on blue matchups. But this deck is sick for sure, +1

I'm thinking about adding Savage Beating and Vexing Shusher , thoughts?

Vexing Shusher is silly good, Gaea's Herald does a similar job. I know it's old and proably pricey but if you can find Berserk it's kills people all day, though Savage Beating is excellent in its place for flexibility. Conjurer's Closet would also be good

I've also been thinking about getting a Strionic Resonator for my deck, so I can get double Xenagos triggers. Does that sound like a good idea?
Also, I love that art of Berserk, it brings to mind Shifters from D&D. If I can find one of the FTV:E printing, I'm definitely getting it.

On the topic of Strionic Resonator , here are potential targets:
When (Mostly ETB effects): Eternal Witness , Acidic Slime , Terastodon , Bogardan Hellkite , Craterhoof Behemoth , Woodfall Primus , Yavimaya Elder
At: Primordial Hydra (Yiss!)
Whenever (Repeatable stuff!): Eldrazi Conscription (annihilator), Rampaging Baloths , Lurking Predators (hell yeah!), Ogre Battledriver , Balefire Dragon (another hell yeah!), Mage Slayer (After equipped creature gets a Xenagod trigger, yes please!), Warstorm Surge , Gruul Ragebeast (Not as good), and Borborygmos . I should include Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger , but it just isn't useful to copy his triggers.

As good as Putrefax looks, I'd prefer not to win with Infect, or Infinite Combos for that matter. It just feels kinda... wrong.

+1 for the deck and for the Xenagos general! So many nasty creatures and much inspiration for my naya commander deck. Kalonian Hydra would make a nice job in your deck as well, and Lure is great together with Vigor .

I just pulled a Chord of Calling from a pack, but I'm trying to decide what to cut for it. Any thoughts? I'm mostly thinking of either Boartusk Liege or Wolfir Silverheart .
July 20, 2014 8:59 p.m.
Okay, I got a Kalonian Hydra , and decided to take both of the aforementioned cards out.
July 25, 2014 3:38 p.m.
I'm giving the following changes a try: Balefire Dragon , Basilisk Collar , and Eldrazi Conscription out for Explosive Vegetation , Avenger of Zendikar , and Doubling Season

I'm looking for a space to put Aggravated Assault in now.
August 1, 2014 3:09 p.m.
I just got a Sword of Feast and Famine , and I'm thinking about putting it into the deck. Thoughts?
Pros: Pretty much everything about the card, besides Pro-Green.
Con: Pro-green makes the equipped creature untargetable by Xenagos's ability.

Currently building a Xenagos Deck myself are you using caver of souls on Xenagos? does he warrant that much hate?
September 8, 2014 12:53 p.m.
I use Cavern of Souls just as a bit of insurance to make sure he isn't countered, since the meta at my local commander league is pretty blue-heavy, and nothing stinks more than having to deal with two Control players focusing down on you.
