A deck I am currently FMN-ing with. It's a Temur control deck with the crappy Intro Pack rare Phytotitan as the main star with Bearer of the Heavens as the co-star. Both are budget, annoying-to-kill and incredibly flawed, and so far have won me lower-end prizes at two FNMs out of three!

The control tools include burn Stoke the Flames for stuff like Butcher of the Horde and Brimaz, King of Oreskos, Burn Away in the SB for Siege Rhino, and the hilariously anti-synergistic Anger of the Gods for the weenies), the supreme powah of AEtherspouts, and the just0recently-added Mindswipe for some attempt at plansewalker stopping and also t add some reach. Boon Satyr has recently been switched out for Savage Knuckleblade, to use as a pre-threat and hard-to-remove beatstick to attract removal away from Phytotitan...OBVIOUSLY :P

And then you have the win conditions. Phytotitan was the basis of the deck because he's cool. 7 power and the ability to ressurect himself makes him a resilient budget threat that needs exile removal to deal with. Bearer of the Heavens is a straight-up endgame bomb. Both can be ramped into by Kiora's Follower and Sylvan Caryatid, and both are devastating with Life's Legacy, either fuelling me with answers or restarting the game in my favour.

FNM: 10/10/2014

OH MY GAWD, I WENT 3-1!! The deck ran pretty well and was well in control against a Sultai flyers deck in Round 1. Rounds 2, 3 and 4 were all very similar Mardu decks with Sarkhan Dragonspeaker, Goblin Rabblemaster, Stormbreath Dragon, the works. I lost the match 0-2 against the last one, who even managed to pull off Sorin, Solemn Visitor's ultimate.

AEtherspouts was freaking boss as expected, and Phytotitan did exactly everything I expected it to do; I think in one game it ate up 6 removal spells just for it to come back. Bearer of the Heavens never exploded but did get a collective gawp from anyone who saw it hit the board.

FNM: 24/10/14

OH MY GAWD...I totally lost 0-4. Abzan Walkers predictably wrecked me, and I had an unlucky 2-1 loss to Jeskai Ascendancy combo despite my countermeasures. Abzan beat me again before I had to concede the final matchup.

Though I kinda knew this going in, I have NO way of dealing with walkers. Phytotitan can take a walker down to 0... except he doesn't, because the tokens those walkers like Elspeth, Sun's Champion or Sorin, Solemn Visitor put in are enough to wreck his day. And my burn (Magma Jet, Stoke the Flames ) is often one damage short of what it needs to do to kill the walker. Also, the third game taught me never to ever let Fleecemane Lion go monstrous, though kinda knew that already and just couldn't kill it in time,

FNM: 21/11/14

OH MY GAWD I WENT 3-1 again! Beat up W/B Warriors 2-1 after sideboardin but was lucky with his bad mulligans and Anger of the Gods. Then faced Mardu which I am now on a 4-1 record against. Then faced Naya Walkers and won 2-FREAKING-0, including setting off the Bearer of the Heavens/Life's Legacy combo in the space of one turn. Finally had to conceded going 1-1 against Jeskai control.

Mind you, I played SO BADLY, from countering an uncounterable spell ( Pearl Lake Ancient to forgetting that Sarkhan turns indestructible when he gets his dragon on. Enemy mulligans and land floods also helped, but it also means the deck still has promise despite its last showing, and also I sideboarded much better this time round. The lifelands were a big help too, and Mindswipe was pretty helpful also.

FNM: 9/1/15

OH MY GAWD, i went 1-3. Didn't do so well here, fought against quite a bit of Abzan and also a ery mean Jeskai tokens deck. My win came from my friend [Karandras]]'s wonderful Villainous Wealth deck, though it was a 2 games to 1 affair. The deck may have one more FNM before it is changed up to Titan Towers 2: Phytoevil]]
