Pucatrade is amazing! —July 4, 2015

Gotten all kinds of fun cards over the last month or two including: Doubling Season, Craterhoof Behemoth, Phyrexian Tower, Defense of the Heart, Chromatic Lantern, Strip Mine, Woodfall Primus, Dread Return, Somberwald Sage, Jarad's Orders, Creakwood Liege, Skyshroud Claim, Nature's Lore, etc.

I also refreshed the comments. Thanks for all the help!

Some quick suggestions are definitely invest into getting a Craterhoof Behemoth as that does wonders if you want to work with a prossh deck. Not sure exactly how you what you want you main win con to be, but by the way it looks so far it seems like you want to use the jund affects to give your creatures a mix of trample/haste and then throw creatures in the field to do a lot of damage. I would look into a lot of dragon creatures that would be of high value with your combos (can't think of a lot off the top of my head, but creatures like Atarka, World Render are a good example. Definitely get Tooth and Nail for throwing out a deadly combo. To go infinite with prossh add Food Chain and replace Mass Mutiny with Mob Rule I'm thinking of trying it out and all I'm thinking is taking control of everything then doing a ton of damage then sacking it to outlets for even more hatred! Just some quick thoughts I had!

RevolutionEnlightenment Thanks! I just bought a bunch of cards including Atarka. Unfortunately, Craterhoof Behemoth, Food Chain, and Tooth and Nail are all a bit out of my current price range, despite being amazing cards, and I will get them eventually. I just pulled the Mass Mutiny so I no longer have a need for the Mob Rule. Thanks!

Take a look at my Keep Both Eyes on the Sky Prossh deck, granted it's a little on the higher end but it's powerful. I suggest cutting down on lands, a solid mana base will let you run fewer lands, if fetches and shocks are outside your price range that's understandable, but running lands that come in tapped is really slow.

Could you elaborate on your playgroup "banned buying singles"??

Cjhobbitbane thanks, totally agree with you on the lands. I really don't want to drop 10 bucks a piece min on lands right now. I really hate the slow lands but I would still rather have those then get manascrewed with basics. I am low on ramp currently so thats why I am currently at 40. Also singles are legal now, I am personally trying to restrain from buying anything truly broken in the deck cough cough Food Chain or really any thing above $5 that doesn't have a huge impact, like lands. The only cards above $5 I have bought were Purphuros, Garruk, and Grave pact. Thanks for the help, btw your deck is a beast.

baddabiiing, first off thanks man, I worked hard on that deck and it took me a while to find some of those cards. I totally have to argue that lands DO have a huge impact though. Because with the right landbase you can consistently drop Prossh turn 3, when your opponents have no way to handle that. T3 Prossh and T4 Xenagod means you're killing at least one person t4, if you run Burn at the Stake and can find one other creature, you can up that to TWO people turn four, but only if you have an awesome manabase lol.

All that said, I still totally understand not dropping the $30-40 for Verdant Catacombs and the like. But of your maybeboard, I highly suggest Tooth and Nail or if you can find it Defense of the Heart, as both will allow you to tutor for game breaking combos, i.e Avenger of Zendikar + Purphoros, God of the Forge or, if you decide to run it Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Zealous Conscripts . Both of those combos can at least shape the whole table, if not win outright.

Cjhobbitbane part of why I am not buying the lands is I can trade for them. My playgroup are all fairly inexperienced and if I said fetch land or shock land they would have no clue what I was talking about. In other words, I can trade them stupid stuff for the lands and they are thrilled. For context, I traded one kid a Mardu Ascendancy for a Bloodstained Mire. I know people with all of the fetches/shocks I still need (Overgrown Tomb, Blood Crypt, and Wooded Foothills) with the exception of Verdant Catacombs. So, I am hoping to trade, and if they all give me flat out no, then I will buy the respective pieces I need. Also DAMN Defense of the Heart and Burn at the Stake ARE BROKEN and I will snatch those up. Thanks for all the hep. Also how do you hit prossh turn 3? I've gotten him at turn 4 at best.

So the big trick for T3 prossh is Joraga Treespeaker, as that one will work wonders, but really any trick to get a second dork/mana source out turn 2 will work, so say turn 1 Sol Ring turn 2 Birds of Paradise and Ashnod's Altar t3 prossh.

You really want Overwhelming Stampede instead of Overrun since this deck has no problems with having creatures that have a power of 4 or greater. Plus, there is a minuscule price difference between the cards. Plus, you might want a cheap sac outlet such as Viscera Seer as well as decent sac fodder such as Sprouting Thrinax. This will also let you go through extra tokens for deck manipulation purposes as well.

MrGeeky314159, Overwhelming Stampede is decent, ill grab it in my next pickup. I puled Viscera Seer because it would end up just being something that I didn't want no matter when i drew it. I replaced the Sprouting Thrinax with Mitiotic Slime, but I understand having both. What card should I pull for it?

MrGeeky314159 says... #12

Acidic Slime isn't bad, but it doesn't have very good synergy with the other cards in the deck. Like I said, Overrun is inferior to Overwhelming Stampede in any deck where power is not an issue.

MrGeeky314159, Acidic Slime is an amazing card and will not be pulled anytime soon, thanks though.

I didn't see Grave Titan suggested anywhere. He's great in any Prossh deck running Purphoros and Anger. One game I had Anger activated, and Purph on the field, played Grave Titan and swung. 10 damage that turn was unavoidable, plus I got to hit someone else for 5 more.. it was great!

seagull96 says... #15

I got to swing for 8 more, my bad.. either way, if you can afford to spend the $5 for a copy he's definitely worth it to run

seagull96 Yeah, he seems pretty broken with this build, ill pick one up. Thanks!

You absolutely need Doubling Season. This card is way too strong to not play it in you deck! Also you might like to combo it with Primeval Bounty. I use this in my commander and it's just ridiculous how anything you draw and play after is usefull... Lands -> 3life. Creature = 2x 3/3 Tokens and Non-creature = 2x +3/+3 somewhere it's insane for you man!

Also +1 for you deck, really nice !

thanks Dadouuxx! Doubling Season is definitely on my radar, but its expensive so I am trying to trade for it. Primeval Bounty is interesting, and MAN I wish it triggers on etb instead of cast, would have been so broken with tokens. also i think yo may have forgotten to up vote, hate to be pushy but yeah. Thanks!

I'd recommend removing as many lands as possible that enter the battlefield tapped. It really helped with the speed of my Prossh deck.

Shared Animosity is a staple of both Prossh decks and Red Token decks. Domri Rade gives cheep Library Manipulation, potential removal, and if he goes ultimate all of your tokens become the best creatures ever. Scroll Rack is an EDH staple, but finding one for less than twenty bucks is super unlikely, so I can understand if you don't want to invest into one right now. Strip Mine is also an EDH staple, it punishes greedy mana bases, and deals with lands that simply do too much Ahem Cradle. Spoils of Victory can be cute with the Shocklands, but I'm not sure you really need it. Nice list!

Thanks nayrash5! Shared Animosity I will get along with Strip Mine in my next pickup. I usually find I don't need card advantage, and if I do, skull clamp works really well. Spoils of Victory got pulled. I can't believe Strip Mine is so cheap, especially with Wasteland as much as it is, and Shared Animosity dropped too. Thanks a ton!
