At night when the lake is a mirror

And the moon rides the waves to the shore

A single soul sets his voice singing

Content to be slightly forlorn

A song rises over the lilies (Waa-ooh waa-ooh)

Sweeps high to clear over the reeds

And over the bulrushes' swaying

To pluck at a pair of heartstrings

Two voices, now they are singing

Then ten, as the melody soars

Round the shimmering pond all are joining in song

As it carries their reverie on

Over the treetops and mountains

Over the blackened ravines

Then softly it falls by a house near a stream

And over the garden wall

To thee

This deck is based on the wonderful miniseries "Over the Garden Wall" by Patrick McHale. Every card in this deck is representative of some aspect of the series in some way. For example, Doran, the Siege Tower symbolizes the Beast, Avacyn's Pilgrim and Nearheath Pilgrim symbolize Wirt because he's the pilgrim, and Elephant Guide is Gregory, who was an elephant for Halloween.

The deck follows the "best offense is a good defense" mentality. doran, the seige tower makes it so all creatures assign damage from their toughness instead of their power. Walls, and fog are used to stop damage from coming through. Strength is built up through the large amount of treefolk in the deck, while Bitterheart Witch starts a chain reaction of curses starting with Curse of Misfortunes.

My goal is to make this deck decently playable while staying true to the nature of the show. If you have any questions about why I have any specific cards in this deck and what they represent feel free to ask. If you are familiar with the show feel free to offer any suggestions.
