Took w190487's advice about Tezzeret's Gambit, and swapped them out for Desperate Ravings. Thinking about dropping something for Predator Ooze....Maybe Mitotic Slime. Edit: Dropped the Mitotic Slime and Automations for two pred-ooze.

I realize the Arrests may not even be necessary considering I already have 4 Dispatchs. Also I realize the Origin Spellbomb may not be the best choice, but I mostly use it for it's draw card feature (although the Myr token is a nice bonus). Which is why I am debating on adding in the Skullclamp. It will help me draw some cards if my field is looking bare in terms of Myr Matrixs and/or Myr Galvanizers (Although once the Myr are buffed up it will be harder to sac them in order to draw, which is why I still think the Spellbombs may be reliable).
Elves no Worky
Papdaddy_44, 13 years ago
I tried to make the elfs work... but they got targeted way to much. So I had to swap them out as you can see I added Birds of Paradise instead of the Llanowar Elves and also took out the Asceticisms; and the Elvish Archdruids out. In their place I put 3 Vorapedes and cut the deck down 3 cards. I know I gotta change the name.. that will be in the works. However there may be more changes done to the deck as more stuff gets released for the new set. Asceticism got taken out cause I found it not really effective for its mana cost, and trust me I know it gives all your creatures hex proof and regeneration. But here is creatures have either have hex proof or don't mind if they pass on. Sure it would be fantastic to keep Primeval Titan on the board for a few turns but he does his job when he comes out to play, everything else is a bonus. Vorapedes get killed its fine cause they come back bigger (barring a person playing Oblivion Ring). As for the Birds of Paradise as long as I have them early its good enough for me. And the Viridian Emissary are for a cheaper blocker who I get to pull mana out. I think that covers everything in this new update. Thanks for following.. oh and realize this I am trying not to copy the Wolf Run deck out there.. its gonna be very similar, but a different splash to it yet.

Playtesting
Dovahk11n, 13 years ago
Tested against G/W tokens and surprisingly kept up with it. Honor of the Pure and Lingering Souls have proven to be the most efficient cards in the deck.
Also playtested against R/B vamps and only ran into trouble with the Curse of the stalked Prey and any vamps that got too huge and I never had a Go for the Throat ready or Oblivion Ring.
The deck seems more than tournament worthy and will plan on taking it to my local one when I get all the Dark Ascension cards I need.

I have been playing this version at tournaments and doing well, I started mainboarding 4x Slagstorms due to the rise of aggro at my local meta, SB is a recent update as well. The recent rendition slightly reflects the world's version, I never found use for the 1-of birds and dropped it.

Suggestions are welcome, This deck will probably change more as more spoilers are released.

Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle for a secondary win condition over "player 2 gets the %$^#&'s and leaves the game"

- Remove Stave Off and put back Guardians' Pledge: Stave Off is not as good as I think. Most of the time, it does nothing...

Removed a mountain and added an extra rally the peasants.

How to play Thraximundar
TragicMagicAddict, 13 years ago
I know Thraximundar has blue and red mana, while this deck is mono-black. It was just too cool to pass up though. You'd have to use Zombie Infestation's discard ability to put it from your hand into your graveyard, then use one of any number of resurrection abilities to bring it onto the field.
After some Play...
DawnsRayofLight, 13 years ago
The deck is rather good, many people who played it said it was one of the more mean decks that they have ever played, many where just completely fascinated by it. It has gone 2/1, 4/1, and 2/1 so far, tempered steel beating it once, twice to the same U/W humans. Which brings to where I could use some advice, I need a way of handling U/W human aggro, it tends to do well against me. I can handle everything else, but when U/W gets "the hand," I can not kill stuff fast enough. My meta is growing more and more aggro each tournament and I need a better field wipe than BSZ, I could use a suggestion for that. Thanks!

I took out the intruder alarms and put in a bunch of new cards that I pulled from packs. The infinite combo was just too easy to pull off and kind of sapped the fun from some of the games.

Managed to snag a Snapcaster Mage from a booster, so I'm replacing 1 architect with it. Also, changed out the Trinket Mages for Delvers, as I feel that their 1 drop is better for early game. Besides, I've got 8 draw cards plus curiosity to dig for the daggers. Think this'll be more viable in a FNM now?
warriorofgod13, 13 years ago
Took out 4x Forests, 4x Islands and 1x Remand. Added 4x Yavimaya Coast, 1x Livewire Lash, 1x Gitaxian Probe, and 3x Tezzeret's Gambit.
P.S.

By the way the +2 for Elspeth Tirel is sxcellent as well in a token deck, as well as the -2. And by the time she's on the battlefield she will be much protected by hords of tokens.
Better Starter Creatures
Solstis, 13 years ago
So I used to have:
2x Goblin Fireslinger
2x Typhoid Rats
2x Reckless Waif
Flip
The problem is that they all die the moment a Heartless Summoning comes out, as squire1
pointed out.
So they got replaced by:
2x Goblin Arsonist - Will burn when I play Heartless Summoning
2x Memnite - It's free so whatever
2x Wall of Tanglecord - it'll still be a 0/4 after both Heartless Summoning come out
If Memnite doesn't work out I'll replace them with another Goblin Arsonist & Wall of Tanglecord.
Thanks for any feedback.

New Ragethrower combo
franconbean, 13 years ago
Replaced kuldoth Rebirth with Thopter Assembley. all i need to pull it off is Heartless Summoning , Rage Thrower and the thopter assembley itself. Triggers rage thrower 5 times and is viable on the same turn as the kuldotha rebirth combo.

Update

MtaRidley, 13 years ago
Okay, I'm editing this deck heavily for Dark Ascension. Everyone's comments convinced me to throw in a Cemetery Reaper or two, and I'm also adding more control elements to make the deck playable. Please let me know what you think!
Minor change
aloehart199, 13 years ago
Mainboard: -1 Shrine of Burning Rage +1 Pristine Talisman. I know I'm flooded on land and thats good considering the color diversity. I decided the shrine was too slow to be useful, cost too much mana to play and cast, and didn't provide a lot of usefullness to the deck. The talisman on the other hand gives a bit of extra mana and helps balance health lost while the deck builds.
