The ultimate underdog story, Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded has arguably the worst +1 among planeswalkers ever. This deck is trying to make the most of it though with Madness costs and discard synergies.

Oathbreaker

Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded is a kooky choice that's difficult to tick up, drawing a card, then discarding at random. The other abilities are very good in this 20 life format. I was really tempted to take Volt Charge to get there faster.

Luckily, Tibalt comes out very early and isn't much of a target. As long as I can get a couple of good creatures out I should be able to get the ults off.

Signature Spell

I was going to go with Volt Charge for the proliferate, but after 2 casts it's a bit tough. The choices I have in the 58 for now, which I'll swap to if needs be were Browbeat or Fateful Showdown .

Browbeat : 3 or even 5 mana for 5 damage is acceptable, but the same rate for 3 cards is even better. People are less likely to take the damage in such an aggro format anyway.

Fateful Showdown : is a controlled way of getting in a ton of damage and a ton of madness triggers. It's also a wheel effect that helps me dig for better cards with an upside for me.

In the end I went with Gamble . It's an extremely low cost tutor that potentially gets me a madness trigger. If not I get a good card. Since Tibalt comes out so soon, so does the tutor.

Worthy Mentions

Ghirapur Orrery : With all the discard effects, this will basically refill my hand each turn, the extra lands help my aggro deck too.

Hazoret's Monument : Cost reduction on creatures ofc helps aggro, plus the discard triggers

Falkenrath Gorger : Gives any other vampires in the deck Madness if they don't already have Madness

Vexing Devil : An awesome turn 1 play, can defend Tibalt or swing for a bunch of damage. Even if they take the 4 damage it's a good rate.
