Here's my take on what Golgari Undergrowth. Essentially being a graveyard deck, our game plans is to fill our graveyard to fuel our Charnel Trolls and Izoni, Thousand-Eyed to win the game for us. Here's the detailed breakdown

enter image description here

So question is......how do we fill our graveyard? we have a couple of cards that help us do that.... Early game we have Stitcher's Supplier which is bonkers because it does what you want it to do and does it well. Use it to snap block if pressured and mill your library for six which is pretty nice. Glowspore Shaman is very good as well as to mill yourself while making sure you hit your land drops on time and or smoothing your potential draws out, best thing is that it's a 3/1 and can trade up if need be.

Jadelight Ranger + Merfolk Branchwalker also enable the graveyard with explore and giving you some level of control of what you want to dump while getting decent bodies early game to be aggressive if need be, especially ranger.

We then have our payoffs cards which are.....

Charnel Troll is a house, 4/4 for 3 is no joke and his downside of exiling cards doesn't affect us because it's part of our game plan as to feed the troll lol. It can easily stonewall creatures like Goblin Chainwhirler, and force red decks to have to use more resources to get rid of the troll which opens up better options going down the line hopefully. It's also effectively trades with Steel Leaf Champion and Vine Mare which is a big plus since losing our creatures is less of a detriment than it is to theirs.

Izoni, Thousand-Eyed is our finisher of sort, graveyard dependent but she can give you the "going wide" win if your graveyard is stocked with creatures and by turn six it should definitely be!

Assassin's Trophy= No words really. Best removal spell in standard for GBx decks. Must play playset.

Necrotic Wound Now this card is pretty sweet because it scales with the game but only cost one mana. It also has a nice perk of exiling what you hit with it, which is particularly good against cards like Rekindling Phoenix. Playset.

Vraska, Golgari Queen Only a 1-of because I'm not sure how good she can be but I think in grindy matchups, she can pull her weight being a Abrupt Decay at worse and draw some cards if the board is right. Flex spot of the deck.

The mana is base is pretty standard for the exception of Memorial to Folly which serves as a Raise Dead on a land. Again, for grindy match-ups and to win attrition battles. Field of Ruin to blow up utility lands like Azcanta, the Sunken Ruin and Arch of Orazca.

Sideboard is basically Deathgorge Scavenger=graveyard
Thrashing Brontodon= artifact/enchantment removal
Ritual of Soot and Golden Demise=board wipes
Underrealm Lich=value/attrition
Plaguecrafter as a edict removal,(think tefari, carnage tyrant, vraskas etc.

If you like the deck, give it a 1+ and or save the deck if you like it. Suggestions, comments and critiques are always welcome. I'll be playtesting this and bringing this to a GP if I feel it can compete so I'll post a update of the results.

Happy Brewing!

So over the past week I've been playing this deck like crazy (paper and online) and played enough to crunch some numbers and evaluate the deck so far.

So out of 100 matches I've played (played more, just forgot to write the results so I condensed it to 100),I was 38-60-2,(38%) which for the most part is ok to me, not great but ok with more than 20 of those games(I think) going to game 3. This somewhat tells me that the deck has a hard time on the draw particularly because the format is still fast enough to get crushed if I have a sub-par draw or they just have a threat I just can't answer fast enough.

From a eyeball test, I really like Golgari Findbroker a whole lot. Card is bonkers and kept me in alot of games through sheer redraws and grinding through my opponent's resources. Also Glowspore Shaman was pretty good most times I played it to be able to redraw my Memorial to Follys and or my Arch of Orazca (had a game where it got hit through Field of Ruin, was sweet to bring it back via shaman).

Weaknesses that I've seen is that my threats usually or either (a.) Not Threating enough to validate my pressure or b.) They have answers to my best questions when I play them. Outside of Charnel Troll and Izoni, Thousand-Eyed I really don't have any midgame/homerun cards to force the issue of pressure. Might add Doom Whisperer or Molderhulk in the MB to give the deck some firepower. Narcomoeba is probably the cut here more than likely. I feel I need to go more "over the top".
