Cool deck TheGleefulMage! I've ran it against a few of my brews, and have found Tendershoot Dryad to be better than I thought, and believe you should be running the full playset.

Golden Demise kind of destroyed this deck, which I believe Radiant Destiny would be a great answer for.

Also, as far as getting the most out of your mana, you can definitely profit from a few more 3-mana spells. Conclave Tribunal I would definitely jam in here, and you may consider it a fit for that "3-mana slot spell". That being said, 1 Radiant Destiny in the mainboard would help a lot, as well as an extra 1, or even 2 in the sideboard.

Ajani's Pridemate + Ajani's Welcome gimmicks work fine here, but I personally think you're running 1 too many Ajani's Welcome (especially because of the two Fountain of Renewal in the mainboard).

Another issue is the mana curve is a bit lopsided. You're running 24 lands, a bunch of 2-mana spells, lackluster card-draw, and I have the perfect solution: Huatli, Radiant Champion. It's a bit of a "win more" card, admittedly, but it's about as synergetic here as it'll ever be. It can +3 pretty consistently as soon as it comes down here, +5 the following turn, it's ultimate is a solid win condition, it's -1 can also win games, and at the very least, it's a great diversion.

Another card that absolutely belongs here is Ajani, Adversary of Tyrants. In case you didn't know, you can totally have both different Ajani Planeswalker cards on the battlefield at the same time, so running 2 of each is probably a good call.

So in other words, I'm basically saying you should turn this into a saproling/superfriends deck haha. Karn, Scion of Urza is ALWAYS an option, but 3-4 of the other 2 should be plenty for the curve/your wallet to touch this deck up.

Props if you can jam all 5 in and make it work. I'll draw up that brew myself when more spoilers reach the database. I'll give you a shout out when the time comes haha

-Hellkite Tryrant – Love the card personally, but does it really play to your theme/synergies? It just seems like an alternate win con, which isn’t intrinsically bad just fells off kilter a bit.

-You need more deterrents/ways to protect yourself. You’re deck has some pretty expressive just deal damage to people spells and that will get their attention and you have like zero pillow fort and not a lot of creatures and few with combat efficiency. Maybe Propoganda

-What’s the strategy behind wanting to take extra turns? I feel like creature damage is pretty minimal for you and you’ll be spending all your mana to get the extra turn.

-Cards that seem weak for their CMC: Blood Tithe, Skull Rend, Lightning Reaver, Agonizing demise, breath of malfegor, opportunity, fated return, pulse of the grid,

-The dolls are cool and add some creepy flavor to the whole nightmare theme, but is their function strong enough?

-Cards that seem out of place: Hypnotic Specter, NIv Mizzet (I honestly think the other Niv might be better for this deck.) Zo-Zu and Ankh with the cmc of your deck,

-Cards that seem really slow: Obsidian Fireheart (seems great with proliferate)

-Cheap wide removal maybe like Golden Demise

-More removal/control pieces for grixis. Counterspells, creature destruction. Deck feels really red (which might be the intention)

-Might need some theme tightening or a new commander to be fully optimized. Maybe partner commander with Vial Smasher or run vial smasher if you up the cmc of your deck to lean into Jeleva.

I do like Golden Demise and Cleansing Nova post rotation. The only worry is we're losing the incidental life gain of Fumigate and Authority of the Consuls, which we need to feed Lich's Mastery. Maybe Ravnica will bring some more valuable inclusions.

Awesome! I've been looking for a post-rotation Lich's Mastery deck, and there's a severe lack of win-cons with Approach of the Second Sun rotating in the fall. Plus it goes well with my love of Mill! I'd consider Cleansing Nova as a rotation-replacement for Fumigate, and consider some sideboard options like Golden Demise for token strategies, since Authority of the Consuls will rotate.

Not to much to refine, this deck doesn’t have much flex because it needs to keep 20 or so artifacts and 11-12 pay offs.

I don’t love the 4 navigators compass (though others do) id swap these out for 2 Sai, Master Thopterist another puzzle knot and maybe a Fountain of Renewal or a 4th rebuke (ull always get value out of rebuke).

Then u just make a solid sideboard. Max out negates and battle at the bridge. Add some enchantment removal and a wrath like Golden Demise or bontus. Most put another Tezzeret the Schemer in too.

Great deck, especially for someone new to magic! However, I do recommend swapping out one swamp or the Aether Hub for either a second Vicious Conquistador or a second Vraska's Contempt. Secondly, I find Fungal Infection kinda meh. I suggest swapping them for more Golden Demises, though if you like them and they work for you, then keep them in! Finally, if you want to get to exactly 60 cards, I recommend dropping either a Cast Down or a Bone Picker.

I have been running the mono-black horse hard the past 6 weeks or so & tested tons of variations and build arounds. Iamme10000 is spot on with Mastermind's Acquisition 2 is more than adequate as its purpose is to extend the count of your power cards. - i.e. if you need a Josu Vess, Lich Knight to close out the game. Acquisition acts as a 3rd copy. Treasure Map  Flip & Gilded Lotus in this build are are specifically worse than Arguel's Blood Fast  Flip & Renegade Map. if you were to run Karn, Scion of Urza, treasure map is exactly what you want over the lotus. Blood fast takes over games and is a must for any deck that can fit black into it. I wish I understood why it costs as little as it does even being in as much of the pro meta as it is. Not to mention, Lich's Mastery requires a painless draw engine or life gain engine to show real value.

Glint-sleeve siphoner just isn't worth running at the moment in a build that can run arguel's & a creature hate package.

Only other suggestion I would offer, Golden Demise doesn't handle enough threats to be a 4 of right now. Yahenni's Expertise is providing more consistency right now - even with Sorcery speed & often no card to take advantage of the bonus Oracle ability.
