Sideboard

This is my second deck I am considering for regionals. I have only played Esper Control for about two months now, but with the printing of Fatal Push, I believe it is in a good place for a nice "spiking" of a tournament.

A couple of card choices.

I opted for Thoughtscour over Serum Visions because this deck has 12 spells that benefit from the graveyard. This is one more than Grixis Control which also runs Thoughtscour. The fact that it is instant make it very appealing to "adjust" according to what the opponent is doing. For example, do I keep up Spell Snare or Path or dig? If I run Serum Visions, I have to tap out on turn one and give free reign to the opponent.

Second thing that is different than traditional draw-go is its inclusion of Tasigur and Souls. I believe Souls is undervalued right now, especially in a control list that needs a way to slow opponent's down or have a win con or beat midrange decks. Souls acts as all of these.

UPDATE: Getting rid of Revelation because it is too slow. Want another threat/win-con/instant speed an card advantage. Added Torrential Gearhulk.

Let me know what you guys think.

UPDATE: Adding Serum Visions and dropping land count to 23. Hoping to go lower to the ground with mana cost.

UPDATE 2: Being swayed by the Esper Transcendent crowd to add that as a win condition. Good against midrange, combo and control, it does what we want for a win condition. Going up to 4 Lingering Souls and Esper Charm for full value with ET.

UPDATE 3: Now testing to see if discards have a place in this list. Going one more on planeswalker and adding discard to see if we can control and deploy while still maintaining game against spell combo.

UPDATE 4: I realized I didn't want to be playing sorcery speed unless I have early disruption. Back to Thoughtscour and Tasigur list. This is a hybrid of draw-go and pressure.

UPDATE 5: Went with the Esper Transcendent list being advocated by many. 4-0 in a local tournament. I might go with this iteration, much more of a tap-out control with a planeswalker finish. This is probably close to my final iteration.
