Sideboard

Maybeboard

This is my version of Legacy Elves. Since I don't have a spare $1,000 to spend on 4 Gaea's Cradle, 2 Bayou, 4 Natural Order, and several fetches I've tried to make something competitive for less. While my build is significantly less explosive than its non-budget counterpart, the deck seems to be slightly more consistent. Additionally, I am adding fetches as I obtain them and will likely be adding in additional dual lands at some point. Eventually this will be a competitive build and it will not be a budget deck anymore.

The current maybeboard includes all of the cards that I still need to acquire for the deck to be functional. The sideboard cards are intermixed with the cards that I need.

Generally, the deck kills turn 3, 4 or 5, but the deck can win on turn 2 and unless the deck stagnates it wins turn 6 at the latest. While I could go on and on about how the deck works, it's more interesting to simply look at the general flow of the deck.

The main combo tools are Glimpse of Nature + Heritage Druid + Nettle Sentinel into Craterhoof Behemoth or Birchlore Rangers + Glimpse of Nature + Nettle Sentinel . However, arguably the best draw engine in the deck is Elvish Visionary + Wirewood Symbiote .

Here are the changes that I plan on implementing over the next couple of months: -1 Heritage Druid, -2 Birchlore Rangers , -1 Regal Force, +4 Natural Order; -2 Gilt-Leaf Palace, +1 Pendelhaven, +1 Verdant Catacombs; -2 Overgrown Tomb, +2 Bayou; -4 Priest of Titania, +4 Gaea's Cradle

The cards that I currently own within my sideboard will be updated as I obtain them into the sideboard portion of the deck.

The final sideboard for the deck will most likely include:

3x Abrupt Decay, 3x Cabal Therapy, 2x Choke, 1x Null Rod, 1x Pithing Needle , 1x Progenitus, 1x Scavenging Ooze, 1x Sylvan Library, 2x Thoughtseize

I'm also putting in 1x Surgical Extraction due to its synergy with Cabal Therapy and Thoughtseize, but I'm not sure what will be coming out to make room for it in the final build. Additionally, I've been playing around with putting Ruric Thar, the Unbowed in as a 61st card.

Since Shaman of the Pack got spoiled, I've been playing around with the idea of playing it in main board as an additional win condition. It would likely be a two of, but I have not decided what would be removed in order to add this card in.

Suggestions on improvements for the deck and sideboard would be appreciated.
