Sideboard

With the current ban list in the modern format and the growing popularity in decks such as Affinity, Jund, and Death shadow aggro, I'd like to introduce you to my favorite archetype, Grixis Delver. The way to pilot this build of the deck is to opporate it like a mid-range/control deck, you will find yourself losing quite often if you just try to close out games quickly and let multiple Tarmogoyfs resolve or maybe a Cranial Plating comes down right when thought you had the game and they end up swinging with a giant card:Vault Skrige. The main point being here is that you should wait to get aggresive or start turning the corner with these faster decks until turn 3 where you can play like a Delver of Secrets   and have Mana Leak or Remand back up. They tend to churn through their hand pretty fast and with your efficient counter spells you should be able to trade 1 for 1 with them and be able to stick a few threats in there. At the decks heart it's a tempo strategy which is nice because sometimes you just have that delver draw, you know the one. Turn 1 Delver, Turn 2 Delver flips a Mana leak and you just get to start beating down your opponent while they have no choice but to cast there removal into a counterspell. Yup doesn't get much better then that. Anyways feel free to comment and share how you do at local tourneys or even if you just have a simple suggestion for the deck, always willing to try new things!
