@UpperDeckerTaco Go right ahead. Fill your deck with Akroma's Vengeance ,Creeping Corrosion , Shatterstorm , and Angel of Finality to destroy a guy's equipments, then make sure he really can't ever use them again. Have fun ruining the fun of a man who built his EDH deck with love and care.
He doesn't need an answer to those cards. If you kill everything and exile all the graveyards, no one has an answer. You'll just have assorted fruits and vegetables thrown at you.

We actually covered this on another thread a while ago, no board state is unbeatable. We tried to come up with an unkillable board state as a community and it was so convoluted and stupid that it's impractical.
It was something along the lines of Mirror Gallery + Iona, Shield of Emeria + Rite of Replication + Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir + Knowledge Pool + Rest in Peace + Avacyn, Angel of Hope + a few more things I can't remember.
UpperDeckerTaco There's no reason to act like you are currently. Giving an artifact Indestructibility seems like a waste in most cases, however it will STILL fall off if 8.5 targets the artifact. Also, you are leaving yourself open to 2:1s with most auras. Most players will jump on the chance to Nature's Claim in response to you casting the aura.

Etched Champion should definitely be thrown in here. It can get suited up with tons of equipment, doesn't need any help from tails in case she becomes unavailable to you in regards to targeted removal, and will shove aside any non Spellskite utility creatures and blockers, unless you're playing against a Karn, Silver Golem deck (and foxy will still handle that for you).
Also, have you considered Endless Horizons
for your ever hungry mana base.
Leonin Abunas should be Indomitable Archangel instead, because of the bigger, more evasive body (unless it prevents you from using recursion, but I don't think shroud still applies while in graveyards).
And Windborn Muse should probably take the slot that Ghostly Prison has, depending on what you play against commonly and how much you tutor for the prison.

They were mere suggestions and questioning behind his deck to see if he had an answer in there I was overlooking. Not "dogging" on his deck, it's a good deck, I'm just playing the what if game. And I am going to build that deck in spite of you thispersonisagenius just to be "That Guy".

Never had any interest in Etched Champion . It just feels like a vanilla creature to me.
Endless Horizons was in this deck when I first built it. I no longer like using it because there's always the risk of some player destroying it just to keep me mana screwed.
Indomitable Archangel was in this deck before as well. It was dropped because requiring metalcraft to be active is annoying at times. Leonin Abunas offers hexproof, which is incredibly relevant when suiting up artifact creatures, and has 2 power, which allows it to be recurred with Reveillark .
Ghostly Prison has been fantastic ever since I first started using it. I want Windborn Muse alongside Prison so this deck has two sources of that effect.

does Dust Bowl work well without Crucible of Worlds in this deck ?

It's been a while since I made my last comment. I trusted irindumaster's judgement (silly me- why'd I ever trust him ever?) on my comment, and thanks for reinforcing my knowledge of the game. I still hold true on Glare of Heresy , however, and support Etched Champion . Would you try True Conviction or Angel of Serenity , just for the hell of it?

@trf6
I don't like Etched Champion in Commander. It has no utility abilities. It's not large enough to be threatening by itself. It's just a 2/2 that wants Equipment in order to be useful.
True Conviction has been in and out of this deck a few times. I should use it. Double strike is amazing in Voltron, WWW in the cost fuels Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx , and lifelink is always good. I'm just incredibly fickle about it and I keep believing other cards are more worthwhile.
Angel of Serenity is already in the deck. Although, I'm thinking of dropping it for Windborn Muse .

Freaked out a little cuz I didn't see the Stoneforge Mystic at first. 0-0.
I would suggest Sublime Archangel and Silent Arbiter . You're running voltron, so attacking with one creature per turn isn't out of the question. The boost you get from the Archangel gets crazy really fast.
Also, I know you don't want to use auras. But Eldrazi Conscription is just sooooo amazing with 8.5.
My humble opinion.
July 13, 2014 8:24 a.m.
I humbly agree; since your entire deck relies on your commander swinging, why not utilize that and run exalted? you could do Knight of Glory , Sublime Archangel , Silent Arbiter , Sigiled Paladin , Aven Squire , and even Guardians of Akrasa or Cathedral of War !

He won't consider adding the majority of the lesser exalted guys because on their own they're terrible. They provide a minor benefit where you could instead be running any anthem effect doe the same cmc and have it stick better because it's not a creature. Also, under circumstances where your opponents have sac an attacking creature effects, it's really unfortunate when you were trying to go in for a minor buff. Were they utility creatures like Noble Hierarch then that would be a different story. As is his deck is more finely tuned to have every piece be good on it's own and help make 8.5 better.

Sublime Archangel won't be effective enough with the low amount of creatures I run.
Already planning on using Windborn Muse . I'd rather use Muse instead of Silent Arbiter . Muse has flying and offers devotion.
Eldrazi Conscription costs 8 mana and I can't tutor for it well. Don't want to use it.
All of the small creatures with Exalted are all not worth it.
Cathedral of War isn't that great. Entering tapped while producing only colourless isn't really worth the exalted trigger.

This deck is aweseome and has been an inspiratation for my own white voltron deck. Thank you! Did you feed the cat?.
I know you must be getting tired of people suggesting the same cards over and over so I'll make two suggestions that I haven't seen in the comments above:
Phyrexian Rebirth - I think the two extra in cost is worth it. You usually get a huge fatty and if you can get your Swiftfoot Boots or whatnot on him its pretty much win. It's been working for me at least
Reconnaissance - A surprisingly amazing card. Sooo versatile. It lets you remove creatures from combat after blockers are declared but before combat damage resolves. Or after combat has resolved and untaps (All creatures have vigilance). Basically you can just attack with everything and just see what your opponent chooses to block and then just remove that from combat and untap. It's bonkers.

I've used Phyrexian Rebirth before. It's nice. If I need another creature sweeper, I'd probably add it again.
No Interest in Reconnaissance . My deck doesn't have many attackers and I don't have the space for it.
July 19, 2014 5:13 p.m.
I guess you're right about not using the max potential of Reconnaissance since you don't have many attackers. Still something that gives vigilance and a nice combat evasion trick for one mana is not all bad even for voltron. Then again, I can see how you dont have space for it.

How do you feel about Ajani CoP and the new Ajani Steadfast ? They're incremental advantage that almost act as equipments for 8.5, while giving you a damage buffer and versatility.

I'm planning on dropping Gideon Jura for one of them. Not sure if I want to run both.
Ajani, Caller of the Pride had Gideon's spot befrore. Good Voltron 'Walker with a back-up army of cats. Recurrable with Sun Titan too.
I like Ajani Steadfast . His +1 is overall better than Ajani CotP's IMO and his Emblem makes you immune to aggro decks. My only issue with him is his -2. This deck isn't suited to use it very well.
So far, I'm leaning more towards using Ajani, Caller of the Pride .
July 21, 2014 10:52 a.m.
Is Godsend so good that ir need a spot here? I mean, it's white, so it'll fall off of 8 1/2, and it's "Your opponents can't cast cards with the same name of a card exiled by godsend" effect seem too situacional and not very relevant in EDH
July 24, 2014 3:19 p.m.
NensouHiebara says... #22
New Equipment have been so mediocre since Scars of Mirrodin block that anything remotely playable is worth trying out. Godsend may be a rough fit for this deck, but it's significantly better than the disappointing amount of Limited filler Equipment that we've been getting set after set.
Godsend is worth it for the +3/+3 boost and exile ability. It also offers devotion, which is tricky to build up in a deck that's heavy on colourless artifacts. Unless something extraordinary comes out of Khans of Tarkir or this year's Commander product, Godsend isn't leaving anytime soon, even though 8.5's abilities doesn't like it.

If you think about it even the blocked clause doesn't work with 8.5 very well. You want to make 8.5 unblockable via protections so they shouldn't be blocking anyways. The only time you're gonna get use out of it is if you throw it on a blocker.
Still a good equip in a vacuum.
July 24, 2014 8:44 p.m.
I see... let's hope Khans will bring some nice equips!

So you're saying if I use Akroma's Vengeance or Creeping Corrosion or the other abundance of destroy artifact cards as well as Angel of Finality and among all the other exile all graveyard cards, you would have an answer for that?
