Sideboard

Abzan coffers deck. Wins with torment of hailfire. Competitive and cheap (on MTGO).

I went 5-0 in a modern league on MTGO with an older vesion. Also, another player made a golgari version of the deck and went 5-0 as well, and Saffron Olive played that deck on a stream.

Anyway, I am the original brewer and I've put even more effort into the deck. I've taken some ideas from Saffron's stream and I'm confident that this version is the best. My favorite change is having both Bloodchief's Thirst AND Prismatic Ending, making your early game much better.

I don't have a 5-0 with this list yet but in my last two leagues, I went 3-2 and 4-1. I will update this bio when I win a challenge or something.

The aim of the deck is to get rid of your opponent's entire board and entire hand (or at least get rid of most of each), and then you hit them with a big Torment of Hailfire for lethal. I think it's a fun and unique way to play. An alternative wincon is Starnheim Unleashed (you can beat them to death with Umori and 2 or 3 angels).

You do sacrifice a bit of early game because you are trying to assemble your lands and you don't have early blockers. This is why I am playing Inquisition of Kozilek instead of Thoughtseize - You want to look after your lifetotal until it gets to midgame where you can turn things around.

The most satisfying plays include:

Playing Mindsluge on turn 4.

Sweeping the whole board with Gaze of Granite or Farewell (Farewell also exiles affinity players' lands)

Putting Boseiju, Who Shelters All down against UW control

Using Crime / Punishment to steal an Archon of Cruelty
