October 10, 2018 - Throne of the God-Pharaoh and Smuggler's Copter have been slightly underperforming. And, given the meteoric rise of Humans as Modern's tier 1 aggro archetype, I am thinking of trying to get more board interaction into the deck. I'm considering trimming 1 of each of the above cards for 1 maindeck Trinket Mage and either one more Judge's Familiar or the first Siren Stormtamer. This increases the number of creatures to crew the remaining 3 Smuggler's Copter while also reducing the amount of boardstates where you have a Copter that you cannot crew.

June 22, 2018 - Magic 2019 spoiled a card that could be totally bananas! http://mythicspoiler.com/m19/cards/saimasterthopterist.html If this card is good then maybe -1 Master of Etherium for the powerful legendary. Then, maybe swap the other 2 copies of Master of Etherium for 2 Myr Superion. It reduces the total number of blue creatures by 2 but lowers the average CMC slightly and allows the deck to make some flying tokens.

March 1, 2018 - Moving the singleton Basilisk Collar to the main! It is an amazing card that is worthy of maindecking even without Trinket Mage interactions. It is far more castable than, and just as board impacting as Master of Etherium, which I'll be trimming 1 of. This frees up a sideboard slot. Currently the deck seems to have a large weakness to graveyard strategies so Tormod's Crypt seems like a great include. It can be tutored with Trinket Mage and can be returned with Academy Ruins to nuke a graveyard every turn. Relic of Progenitus is also worthy of consideration but can be slow. Further playtesting will shed some light here.

September 22, 2017 - Replacing the 2 copies of Signal Pests with more midrange/late game cards, +1 Judge's Familiar for added/continued disruption and +1 Wurmcoil Engine. The Signal Pest is a great aggro card that is sometimes free on turn 2 (after a Etherium Sculptor has hit the board) but is likely your worst one drop on turn 1 and doesn't pump itself when attacking. The additional Judge's Familiar disrupts spells while also having Flying and crewing a Smuggler's Copter. The Wurmcoil Engine is amazing, as we all know, and allows the deck to hang with decks that present Tarmogoyf or similar big bodies while also gaining life and making the common Burn matchup much better. Definitely worth one slot out of 60!
