As we mentioned, I think the best thing for Thrax himself is to get him on the field a turn or two early. Mana rocks are going to be the thing, since we can't make extra land drops with green. Hopefully we can get Thrax down turn 5 or so, so rocks costing 4 or less are where it's at. My favorites are Chromatic Lantern, signets such as Izzet Signet, and others that make your off-colors since we're focusing black with our mana. Altars such as Ashnod's Altar and Phyrexian Altar might be the end goal here, given the sacrifice subtheme with the Pact effects.

Some extra card draw might help get us the mana and rocks we need on-curve. God-Eternal Bontu pairs with pact effects for a blowout, Cryptbreaker turns your bodies into cards and your useless cards into bodies, and Midnight Reaper/ Undead Augur are less dangerous to you with your sacrifice outlets to make sure they don't hurt you too much. Corpse Harvester plays triple duty as ramp, tutor, and sac outlet.

I'm going to further push the sacrifice subtheme and see if we can shore up one of the weaknesses Thrax shares with Savra...large creature armies. Archfiend of Depravity and Vona's Hunger will stop a billion saprolings from getting you down, and Butcher of Malakir seems like a good redundancy piece. And it might not be the best, but I really like Syphon Flesh in here.

Also, if you're going for stealth Liliana tribal, you're missing OG Liliana Vess :P I also like Angrath, Captain of Chaos in here (I wouldn't even make a token with him...just leave him up as a harder-to-kill enchantment)...probably better than most of your Lili options if you're not married to the 'tribe'. Last Hope and Heretical Healer would be my picks for the weak links of the planeswalkers you do play.

THERE ARE NO INSTANTS IN THIS DECK?! Let's grab some versatile ones, so I don't start thinking I can free-roll on your turn. Crosis's Charm, Soul Manipulation, Grixis Charm, Silumgar's Command, and Lazotep Plating are some of my picks for cards that can always find a use.

Other cards I'm unimpressed with: Cruel Reality, Army of the Damned, Skull Storm, Nightmare Lash, Mayhem Devil, Nekusar, the Mindrazer

Okey, cool! Then I would firstly recommend to take away four lands since (mathematically) you only need about 36 lands to have a good enough chance to draw them without drawing too many at any given time (also depends on how you shuffle of course ;) ). Then I would also again recommend to take a look at my deck when it comes to which lands you should play to up those a notch since there are a lot of lands that aren't very useful (especially the double-lands with no other effects) in the precon.

itsmekidney, I do like the Skull Storm and probably should fine a space for it. The only issue I have with the card it that it has a high cost. Most of my deck is designed to "cheat" the casting cost. It seems like it might often be a Plague Wind or In Garruk's Wake with a nice upside; except against go wide decks where it is worse. I may try it in place of the Plague Wind . As for the other two I'm not really sold on them for this deck, but I hope you can steal some of the ideas I had to build a fun deck. Let me know when yours in finished so I can see how it comes together.

I actually just thought about making a deck with these 2 commanders today!

I don't have too much advice except for bringing up the various commander "storm" spells, most importantly Skull Storm and maybe Fury Storm (and maaaaaybe Echo Storm . Storm spells include both your low cost commanders in their copy effect, and are pretty devastating.

These I chose either for the simple fact they don't go for the plan or are too slow. There are better cards that aren't that expensive.

Hey Daedalus19876! Dang I'm sorry to hear about your hand, but I hope it heals quickly (and properly)!

With Archfiend of Dispair, I figured it'd be an iffy one, and that's a good point about the reanimation (that I totally didn't even think about). On a side note, Wound Reflection is a wonderful card that I never knew existed, so thanks for that!

Krav, the Unredeemed is definitely teetering between being good, or completely useless. At his base he's a 3/3 for 5CMC, so that's actually pretty bad... but if you could activate his ability at least once sacrificing a couple tokens, then it's somewhat worthwhile? He's definitely not a card you'd want to draw/play if you're far behind though.

I like the "Friend or Foe" mechanic. It's pretty cool in multiplayer matches. My only issue is that most of those cards rather suck. Regna's Sanction I think is just at that borderline of not sucking. I believe it's also one of the only ones that have one colored mana in its CMC? Anywho, I definitely couldn't tell you what it could replace if you did decide to try it out.

I honestly did not think about that with Thrilling Encore, so my apologies! But yeah, I suppose with this deck having five open mana would set off all kinds of red flags for your opponents.

Forge of Heroes: Fair enough. Can't argue with sound reasoning like that.

Magus of the Balance: Ah, very true. It's definitely weaker compared to other Pox effects, and it's practically useless if you're ahead. And not being able to hit mana rocks and the like is a big loss. And with the new Saheeli deck coming out with all those shiny new artifacts, I'm sure there'll be a big artifact surge.

Skull Storm: Ah, another oversight on my part. First, I forgot that Elenda is mainly just another cog in the pox machine. Second, I realize that I was focusing on plays far too situational to truly warrant its use.

Oh, what are your thoughts on Isareth the Awakener? A 3/3 Deathtouch for 3 CMC definitely isn't bad, but how useful would its ability be to you?
