Yeah, you need firebreathing in this as a ready source of manadumps.
Creatures: - Flamekin Brawler - Dragon Egg - Dragon Hatchling - Chartooth Cougar - Everflame Eidolon - Immolating Souleater - Hellkite Overlord - Goblin Fire Fiend - Furnace Whelp - Molten Ravager - Tattermunge Witch
Enchantments: - Firebreathing - Captive Flame - Ghitu Firebreathing - Shiv's Embrace - Dragonrage (Instant, gives all creatures firebreathing)

Looks fun. I disagree with the other commenters regarding draw/recovery. I think that these partners are best played as a glass-cannon, all or nothing, win early or bust strategy. This is just my 2 cents but I would make the following swaps:
Impulsive Pilferer -> Skirk Prospector. T1 Prospector = T2 Jeska!
Arcane Signet -> Simian Spirit Guide
Lightning Bolt -> Rite of Flame
Chandra, Torch of Defiance -> Lotus Petal
Leyline Tyrant -> Seize the Day
Trailblazer's Boots -> Dust Corona
Solemn Simulacrum -> Treasonous Ogre
Loyal Apprentice -> Inquisitor's Flail
Fireblade Charger -> Smoke
Champion of the Flame -> Neheb, the Eternal
Monastery Swiftspear -> Captive Flame
Koth of the Hammer -> Relentless Assault
Ruby Medallion -> Dockside Extortionist
Ring of Valkas -> Relic Axe
Whispersilk Cloak -> Champion's Helm. Rograkh having shroud could be problematic for you.
Lightning Greaves -> Taste for Mayhem

Shizo, Death's Storehouse & Dauthi Embrace to give him pseudo evasion, Captive Flame & Ghitu War Cry to pump opponents, Marchesa's Decree & Hissing Miasma for pillowfort.
Suns_Champion on So uh... Brion... How far can you throw that goat?

Hello! Nice to see other Brion players!
have you looked at Well of Lost Dreams???? Extreamly good card draw with all the life gain happening. Works ridiculously well with Venser's Journal!
Second suggestion: Neheb, the Eternal. This guy will work wonders for you and your pump effects. Say you have him out, attack with a 10/10 and hit an opponent. Neheb adds 10 red mana to your man pool. You pump up the 10/10 with Captive Flame and sack him to Brion, dealing 20 damage and gaining 20 life! This effect is only improved with ETB damage effects, more creatures attacking, and damage doublers!
That's all I have for you for now. I'd love it if you checked out my take on Brion... it's very different from yours but perhaps you'll have some good ideas for me! Happy flinging!

Firebones675 on Gahiji Politics

For me, part of politics is manipulation. Knowing who to make friends with and who to piss off. Even more important than that is learning how to turn other players against eachother. Here are a few politics cards I like.
Diaochan, Artful Beauty: In a multiplayer game you turn to someone and say " Let's make a deal, See that guy over there? I'll kill one of his creatures if you kill the other"
Spurnmage Advocate can return a much needed board wipe to a players hand while destroying the creature attacking him.
Pay attention to effects like Captive Flame. Remind people that it can target creatures other than yours and tell them that depending on who they attack, you don't mind putting a few mana into it. People also forget that you can pump a creature to make 2 creatures trade in combat. If neither is yours, it's a win-win
Rite of the Raging Storm can lower player's life totals pretty quickly.
I also like casting Bitter Feud on 2 players and see how they react.
Neotrup on does warstorm surge count for …
7 years ago
Warstorm Surge causes the creature that enters to deal damage equal to it's power when the ability resolves. That means that it cares about it's power as it resolves, rather than as it enters.
If you have a static effect boosting power, such as Flowstone Surge, that will always be counted for Warstorm Surge.
If you have a triggered ability like Ogre Battledriver, you choose the order that they go on the stack. If you want the extra 2 damage, you would put Warstorm Surge on the stack first and the battledriver's ability on second so it resolves with the +2/0, then the damage. If you don't want the extra damage for whatever reason, you reverse that.
If you have a one shot boost, like Brute Strength or an activated ability like Captive Flame, you can use them in response to the entry trigger to deal extra damage.
If you're opponent decides to kill your creature in response to the entry trigger (after targeting), it uses the creature's power as it last existed on the battlefield. So if you have an Ogre Battledriver enter and they respond with Doom Blade, you'll still deal 3 damage. If they respond with Grasp of Darkness, you'll deal 0 damage.
