Yeah, you need firebreathing in this as a ready source of manadumps.

Probably Skarrg Guildmage. If you want to go even further, you can swap Tattermunge Witch for Zhur-Taa Ancient.

I would say go with four Secluded Steppe over two Sandstone Bridge and two Plains. That way you stay land heavy, and can cycle them away if you draw into them mid to late game.

Tattermunge Witch gives you an effect similar to Ride Down, and gives you a 2/1 body on Turn 2.

Some Sylvan Caryatid will help with your mana ramp and fixing.

If I wanted to run Gruul, I feel like I'd rather play Ghor-Clan Rampager or maybe even Tattermunge Witch since they're not as random and suicidal one shot wonders. But again, I know card advantage is hard on the format, I just feel like BBE doesn't threaten anything... but I've never played her, so what do I know
