Trying out Anger instead of Ogre Battledriver. I make enough 1/1s to where the +2/+0 doesn't really matter all that much, I've found that I need haste more than anything else. Anger also would give me something to pitch for my draw cards.

New Lead Singer
MegaMatt13, 8 years ago
I have changed the commander of this deck from Chainer, Dementia Master to The Scarab God. The Scarab God essentially has Chainer's ability but brings access to blue and some additional zombie synergy during the upkeep. Also, he essentially avoids the commander tax by returning to hand when he dies. All in all I believe him to be a more powerful reanimator general. The description still needs to be updated to reflect the change from Chainer to The Scarab God. Thanks for your patience.
Mk. 5.0

New: more card draw spells, more ramp Cut: most interaction and cards that don't directly contribute to the combo plan After reading some cEDH lists here on tappedout, I decided to scrap the list and start from scratch to make it faster and more consistent. As such, I've added more ramp (now including nearly all of the one- and two-drop mana dorks and some of the larger mana rocks) and more card draw and tutoring power, such as Mystic Remora, Time Spiral, Mystical Tutor, and Recurring Insight. The cards that got left out were ones that didn't contribute to the combo, such as Gaddock Teeg, Path to Exile, Acidic Slime, and even Reclamation Sage. A few important cards that I didn't remember to include in this iteration are Glen Elendra Archmage and Venser, who will be back in future updates.

New: Priest of Titania; Selvala, Explorer Returned; Selvala, Heart of the Wilds; Xantid Swarm; Defense Grid; Dig Through Time; Mystical Tutor; Recurring Insight; Windfall Cut: Gaddock Teeg; Gilded Drake; Stoneforge Mystic; Skullwinder; Venser, Shaper Savant; Acidic Slime; Brainstorm; Fact or Fiction; Lightning Greaves I was working on version 5.0 at the time I played this list, but it wasn't quite ready yet so I just cut a whole bunch of cards that don't directly contribute to the combo win game plan and threw in some more ramp, combo protection, and draw power at the last minute.

Decided to swap out Drumhunter for Yisan, the Wanderer Bard. It's worked well in testing so far!

Deck updpate
Beauseph04, 8 years ago
I removed Aethersquall Ancient for Elder Deep-fiend. I only use the energy counters for Deadlock Trap, to keep things locked up which deep-fiend helps with that too. I took out Altered Ego and replaced him with world breaker to get my things back that might have been "Cast Out" or just for land hate to remove one of the 3 mana they had untapped for their disallow. Dead lock trap has been a huge help with Planeswalkers. They usually get 1 activation out of them until I freeze them up enough to deal with them.
Not the Mana I'm Looking For
AIOSDev05, 8 years ago
After some casual play and testing out the various mechanics of the deck, I have decided that Conduit of Storms Flip just does not have the effect I anticipated it would. The mana gain is rarely used or needed in most games. As such, I find that Stoneforge Masterwork is a nice replacement while staying Standard legal. It synergizes nicely with Shrill Howler Flip to make sure that big damage is unblockable each turn.
Abandoned Sarcophagus

Will definitely need to find a slot or two for the new Abandoned Sarcophagus.
Tio_Infernape, 8 years ago
Put some cards that could be interesting in the Maybeboard section
Also took out 1 Felhide Petrifier and maybe remove the last one too. I love deathtouch, but i feel like it is more of a defensive ability, while this deck is more aggresive.

Disenchant
Neroastic, 8 years ago
Added disenchant to sideboard, because of a faster artifact/enchantment removal, as i have been meeting alot of lantern controll in my local matchups, i am still considering other sideboard options like ghost prison. added 3x leyline to sideboard
Will i continue

If you like these two casual decks and want me to make more of these. What color should i do next ? I was planing to make 5 decks 1 for each color. I want to know, do you like Enchanted wisdom more or Plague heralds.
Swap Update
theilluminaire, 8 years ago
Swap Update:
- Dark Depths swapped in, removing Jaddi Offshoot.
- Thespian's Stage swapped in, removing Mox Diamond.
- Tireless Tracker swapped in, removing Glistener Elf.
- Inventors' Fair swapped in, removing Nature's Claim.
The swaps above slow down the deck by a marginal degree, but remains measurable nonetheless. In my opinion though, they make the deck even more sustainable in multiplayer. As far as the plucks are concerned, there really is no logic behind the cards removed in relation to the cards added, short of the fact that they are the most expendable, however low-cost all of them are.
The Tireless Tracker and Inventors' Fair adds were influenced by CastleSiege's "Deforestation" list. It was not until this list was suggested to me that I even knew Inventors' Fair existed. This gives Tireless Tracker a degree of variability that made it a must-add to my deck.
For obvious reasons, I also added Dark Depths and Thespian's Stage from my now-deconstructed Ghoulcaller Gisa deck, "Bury Your Dead".

Retuning
rco, 8 years ago
I set this deck aside for quite awhile. In the meantime, the meta at my store shifted quite a bit. This deck had done very well at preying on battlecruiser decks, but struggled a bit with decks that were a little lower to the ground and a little more interactive. This tune-up is an attempt to make it faster, and also give it a credible late-game play in Seasons Past.
Forest → Living Death → Seasons Past
Ritual of the Machine → Revel in Riches
Demon of Dark Schemes → Gyre Sage
Sylvok Replica → World Shaper
Pilgrim's Eye → Den Protector
We tried and cut Living Death. It turns out that the deck is short on ways to break symmetry. Also, I'm not willing to spend the time looking through everybody's graveyards to figure out if Living Death accidentally hands one of my opponents the game.
I'm still convincing myself that it was correct to cut Sylvok Replica and Pilgrim's Eye. We don't have a ton of ways to recur and abuse either. Hopefully we still have enough enchantment removal and evasive dudes!
Gonti

Snuff Out -> Gonti, Lord of Luxury Snuff Out is sometimes awkward, and if Gonti isn't fun in this shell, he isn't fun anywhere.
