Thank you so much for the comment and the upvote! You are right, I did put a lot of heart into this one, and you are also right, I need better mana ramp and consistency. Do you think the guild signets would be a worth while include here?

zelous666 I have been looking at that card for the past few days. I am positively going to remove Hero's Blade, as multiple test runs just don't make it viable to have it in the deck, although I do enjoy the P/T buffs it gives, it is way too situational.

K4nkato Sure! I actually won a game out of nowhere with a mass-res pile once and didn't even realize it until I brought it all back and was like, "oh, you all take 60" or whatever the number was. Basically, I Ascend from Avernus'd like 11 creatures from the yard, including 5 or 6 different "Soul Sisters" creatures and, most importantly, my copy of Starscape Cleric. I do pretty aggressively explore to the bin because of mass res cards, so that helps, but I feel like you could actually pursue this as a win con more regularly with more dedicated self-mill. It was just happenstance when I did it lol.
There's plenty of other combos that can be put into an Amalia shell. Google "EDHRec Amalia combos" and you'll find gold. Leonin Relic-Warder + Animate Dead is a good one for infinite death & etb triggers. Just slap a Blood Artist-esque effect on the board and you win! It even works in a Lurrus build.

Thank you for the kind words & suggestions NV_1980, I appreciate them. Writing primers is fun for me, so I appreciate it when folks take the time to read them. I'm currently applying around for jobs & trying some career pivots. I submitted some of my primers along with samples of my more professional/technical stuff as writing samples for a couple of apps.
I hadn't really considered either of those cards for this deck, but I've really enjoyed the work that Sakashima of a Thousand Faces puts in for my Satya deck. I might have a 2nd Sakashima copy in my binders, & definitely have a Roaming Throne proxy around. I'll look into a potential swap for one of them.

Your decks are always amazing Crow_Umbra, I enjoy reading them and this one doesn't disappoint either :)
Since you said in your description that "Remember to go fast, we're on a Time Limit", would it make sense to include stuff that would allow for the generation of more dragons via Goro-Goro and Satoru? I'm talking cards that could copy them (like Sakashima of a Thousand Faces) or maybe copy their triggered abilities (like Roaming Throne).
Cheers.

I wanted to play a more combo-centric build of this deck at the same power bracket. I was curious if you know of any creature piles that basically win the game when flipped from the GY onto the table.
Something I had in mind was Ashnod's Altar, Myr Retriever & another creature card to complete the combo, since Myr Retriever could grab altar out of the GY anyways. I know this list would have to drop Lurrus of the Dream-Den, but that’s fine with me. Unfortunately you’re not allowed to run two Myr Retrievers in commander so I’m a bit stumped. Any ideas?

Cool take on Zur! I'd take Kasmina's Transmutation out for a Oubliette. As a transmuted commander can still block, die and go to the czone, but a Oublietted on can only be recovered with enchantment removal

"When the tides began whispering secrets too ancient for even gods to bear, Kiora followed the current — and found herself among stone-eyed sisters, whose venomous wisdom flowed deeper than any sea."
I'm playing with the idea of diving deeper into the sea and bringing Kiora into the Sisterhood. There's already some groundwork for that in the deck, and I think Thassa would approve. Then again — as it often happens with me — I might just end up building a whole new deck full of Krakens, Octopi, and Merfolk. We'll see how much the blue color wins me over.
Kiora, Behemoth Beckoner , Kiora, Master of the Depths , Kiora, the Crashing Wave and some Krakens like Stormsurge Kraken or Nadir Kraken and Kiora's Dambreaker.

Cool deck! Gotta love Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon. I would suggest a few copies of Goblin Bombardment to use the many 1/1s that you create attacking. And the damage from Arabella, Abandoned Doll with the small tokens plus the Goblin Bombardment sacrificing several tokens can close the game scarily quickly. I have tried with it several times and love it every single one

Hey jonjonhholt, really glad you dig the build and thanks a bunch for the suggestions! I have thought about the other landcycle creatures and tried Ents in here before but ultimately I decided on Sagu mainly because of that card's ability to grab untapped sources of either of the secondary colors. This is important sometimes for casting a timely Lorien or Sulfurous Blast since each have double pips. Krushok is a sweet card and it did cross my mind to run this + Evolution Witness since this loops and functions as a mana sink, which would be awesome with the mana you get in this deck but I decided this package would probably take up too much space in the list. But considered by itself I think Nyxborn ends up winning out at least for this build.

You definitely get an upvote for sticking to theme and putting heart into ot.
But...
...this is four colours with hardly any ramp. As great as your mana base is, but you'll propably get mana screwed in two out of of three games. You have hardly any basics, so maybe try Nature's Lore, Three Visits, and Farseek. Together with Sol Ring and Arcane Signet this could work a lot better already. Tempt with Discovery could be great here, as well.

Thank you for inviting me to comment on your deck.
First it needs to be said that Edgar Markov is a very strong commander, whom will immediately draw the aggro from the table. This means you have to go in assuming a 3 VS 1 match in which you are the archenemy, unless your meta is incredibly high-powered.
Keeping this in mind, I see three aspects of this list that could be improved. I never aim to build a net deck, and I hope these suggestions will make the deck fun for you.
1 - Mana Base: Lands that come into play tapped make your deck slow. Lands that do not provide colors can get you screwed. I would replace most of these by Shocks, Fetch, Filters, Pathways and Bond lands to ensure you are always on curve. What is the Wasteland trying to protect you from? What is the value of Cabal Coffers here?
2 - Mana Curve: You have a high curve, with 15 cards being 4+ CMC. I would lose most of the 5-6 CMC, focusing on being already in a position to win by turn 5.
3 - Creature Count: You have one of the most broken mechanics ever with eminence, and should strive to capitalize on it as much as possible. I would rise closer to 40 creatures and lose nice-to-have, win-more cards in other categories to make room.
Suggestions: Lose Sorin, Grim Nemesis and Sanguine Bond. I don't understand Staff of Compleation in this list. You don't really need Demonic Tutor if all your cards are good. Urza's Incubator only works with a fraction of your creatures. Entomb and Animate Dead are circumstantial at best.
Door of Destinies makes your Skullclamp useless. Consider replacing the latter with Shared Animosity.
Add Reconnaissance, it is the best. You can activate before combat damage to save your creatures, and after combat damage to give the equivalent of vigilance.
Hope these comments are useful.
Cheers!

I do like how the new Sword of the Animist is Aerith in the art. Very flavorful of Cloud to bring her that staff.
EliseRococo on Aerith Gains

Vigilance has been a stronger consideration that I've gone back and forth on. I nearly slotted in Heliod, God of the Sun, but I felt the creatures were leaning too high cost. He got cut along with Serra the Benevolent, which could be some token generation and some +1/+1s in between. The 5+ cost creatures I've kept such as Archangel of Thune or Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines just seemed to be the bigger priority since they directly contribute to the counter ramp.
I could swap out one of my 1/1 Clerics since I'm looking at quite a few filling the role, but I also want to maximize having life generation if I lose one or two life generation sources early. It would require a fair amount of testing after I build to really know what balance feels right to me, I suppose.
Aside from that, Cloud, Midgar Mercenary is certainly more of a flavor inclusion, but he's still an easy to play equipment search. That can help to pull lands with Sword of the Animist or getting more lifelink online with the White Mage's Staff.
I'll have to think on the rest before I come to any conclusions about changes, I'll need to find the chance to throw a bunch of proxies together in the meantime.

Without making lots of tokens, the Soul Sisters that only work on your creatures entering might be cuttable. Most are CLerics though, which has some synergies with other cards. You could potentially replace them with some hard-hitting lifelinkers
Optimator on Aerith Gains

Since your curve is very disciplined and Aerith is two mana, you could probably get away with dropping Land Tax (though the power is very much there)
Optimator on Aerith Gains

Seems like a great brew! Very well-built. My gut says it's gonna work great right out the gate.
If it were me, I'd try to squeeze in a few ways to give her evasion. Make use of that lifelink while guaranteeing commander damage while simultaneously not sliding into a full Voltron deck. Whispersilk Cloak, Brotherhood Regalia, and Psychic Paper could do double duty with protecting her.
Still, she makes a good blocker without those. Equipment/Auras that give flying and/or vigilance could be good on defense, though they'd probably replace cards that are stronger in a vacuum.
Reconnaissance can give her pseudo-vigilance while making attacking with all your support creatures safe.
Protecting the whole board, as your current roster of protection cards leans toward, are still important since you'll end up distributing a lot of counters to a big board. Wouldn't want to drop many of those, but perhaps one.
Maybe cut Cosmos Elixir and Scroll Rack? I've never been impressed with Cosmos Elixir, personally, and Scroll Rack--while very powerful--doesn't seem to synergize beyond its raw power (which is certainly there). Still, card "advantage" isn't the easiest in mono-White

i love the concept for this deck! Seems like a fun alternative to things like Cleansing Wildfire-esc strategies. The only things that stand out to me is that i think running either Generous Ent or Oliphaunt instead of Sagu Wildling is probably worthwhile. Also a couple other cards that came to mind were Malevolent Rumble as it helps dig for bounce lands or a threat. As well as Bannerhide Krushok as it can either reinforce as a nice little instant speed buff turning Arboreal Grazer or Coiling Oracle into an actual creature or krushok can be your 4-drop if you dont draw Writhing Chrysalis. Then once you've ramped a bunch you can scavenge the krushok to turn anything into an immediate threat. But seriously dope list love the idea

I really didn't see that suggestion coming in a land based strategy haha Timesifter is a jelly factory! The MVP in my Volrath I've fallen, and I can't get up!
Planar Birth has been the backbone to any deck with in my 43 Lands.dec strategy. Fun card to brew around. Nostalgic Dreams/Rites of Spring are juicy additions.
