I would say 1v1 games are unfavorable for Marisi, but it's still a decent body that silences the opponent during combat. And you still force utility creatures to attack leaving opponents in difficult situations . If you want to play explosive 1v1 matches, you should look into the new Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin (just imagine with Claws of Valakut or Stoneforge Masterwork haha) or Omnath, Locus of Rage . But against regular match ups I guess Marisi stands some chance.

Perhaps with more removal and hate cards like Blind Obedience or Ohran Viper you could improve the solo experience.

I think he got the clone and blade of selves strategy from me when he started begin this year, he suggested Bramble Sovereign in return. I posted this strategy with a primer about it in 2017. But perhaps he also came up with it himself.

I have never been hated upon with those cards or Reyhan, most people are very surprised and enthusiastic about the possibilities. Especially dumping 100 counters on Walking Archive and passing on the turn is a mind blowing strat to others. But I usually play something else in my playgroup. With Reyhan my games are always a 3v1 haha

It keeps interesting to see your and last laughs versions of these partners. The core strategies with blade of selves and creating clones with e.g. Rite of Replication I uncovered are all included in both your decks, but everything else are on a complete different routes.

I like tempt with Discovery, but whenever I play it, I would always add a Strip Mine to counter Maze of Ith or Glacial Chasm utility lands. Or that one friend that always tutors his Gaea's Cradle .. Sigh

(Also you should play Mosswort Bridge , it is very underestimated!)
