[Budget] Direction with Derevi

So I determined that i want to run Derevi but need some opinions on how to run her:
Wizard tribal: works wonders with Azami and Voidmage Prodigy.
Bird tribal: perhaps my favorite. Fears are it's cumbersome and slow. Sample deck list:
Edric style: cheap 1-2 drops that net cards through Coastal Piracy effects. Takes full advantage of Derevi's tapping ability. Stax cards like Opposition and Winter Orb would be ideal here. Though I do already have an Edric deck but am willing to upgrade it to Derevi.
Edric, International Man of Mystery
Enchantress Voltron: something I cooked up last night. Use auras and exalted creatures to buff up Derevi and alpha strike opponents. The enchantresses will net us a lot of cards. Final Derevi's tapping ability is less relevant here.

No Storm Crow in the bird tribal? I guess if your meta is friendlier, no need to include it, but jeez are you missing out.
EDIT: All joking aside, I'm looking over the stuff now, and I'll have actual productive comments. :P

So personally, I think Derevi plays best as a prison or wizard tribal, like mentioned above. If you're considering doing the voltron build and want to be in bant, I think Rafiq of the Many is just better in all respects, particularly with enchantments.

Thanks! Yeah I suppose Im sort of forcing Derevi into Rafiq's spot with the bottom bit.
Wizard tribal is interesting. Wish I didn't melt my Azami deck lol. Only problem is what are the finishers? Lab man, MoM? I know wizards are annoying lol but im not sure how to build it with Derevi.
Edric style is nice for abusing Derevi's tapping ability. Lots of weenie evasives that can lock or untap lands. Beastmaster Ascension, Biomass Mutation, Mirror Entity, ect can end the game. Or use Opposition and Glare of Subdual to really lock down the board with the army of weenies. Use Coastal Piracy to net huge CA, Cryptolith Rite/Druids' Repository can generate huge sums of mana.

Honestly, another method could be to do some flash shenanigans. Roon of the Hidden Realm, Venser, the Sojourner, Brago, King Eternal, ect... Along with creatures with solid ETB effects could be cool.
Wizards are another animal. There's plenty of draw power, the combo you mentioned above, and plenty of annoying instants/sorceries, plus some really solid cards, like Azami, Lady of Scrolls and Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir among others. I'm not an expert on the wombo combo stuff with wizards (and my research is coming up nil), but I'm sure someone out there knows something.

I was avoiding blink simply because I already own a Brago deck :p He also, is pure shenanigans.
I'm going to make a list for both wizards and the Edric-style just to see what I like more. I might just morph my Edric deck to Derevi. Edric felt like he as lacking something and the addition of might just help with some of the above mentions. I also have an old Azami deck that I can just copy and paste, chop and piece something together.

My only concern is without Edric, Coastal Piracy or Bident of Thassa online it can be kind of meh. Little weenies by themselves aren't going to do much. Keep in mind this is just a rough draft. Missing Glare of Subdual and the land base could use some help.

TBH, you've got most of the staples in there. Draw power won't be as smooth as an Edric deck, but you can make up for that with a few more enchantments. Going a little out of budget with it here, but Sylvan Library is a great choice for that. Could also consider some planeswalkers, namely Jace, Unraveler of Secrets, Tamiyo, Field Researcher, and my favorite, Teferi, Temporal Archmage.
Also off budget, but it just occurred to me that Sword of Feast and Famine would be a great addition to that deck.
For manabase, your deck has similar-ish mana consistencies to mine, though you lack as much white as I do. Here's a link to my bant deck: Jenara Un-Aggro

Military Intelligence would be a great include on the cheap.
I think this would work but I still think Edric at the helm would simply be better. Sigh... Thank you for all your responses but I'm starting to contemplate just running a different commander :( Building so many lists just to have them not work is frustrating (plus I'm on Vicodin from having teeth pulled yesterday so bear with me lol). Granted that is probably stemming from my refusal to do what Derevi is great at- prison/stax. I'm tempted just to throw Storm Crow in my tribal list (which still needs shaping up) and throw it together and be done with it lol.
I was also looking at Oloro, Talrand, and a very odd choice: Lin Sivvi infin life combo. The latter is pretty jank and is mono white so meh... I own all the cards for the infinite combos with Oloro: (Bloodchief Ascension + Mindcrank , Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond , Felidar Sovereign, still need Test of Endurance)

Oloro is fun for a bit, but it gets kind of stale after a while. I personally love durdle decks, but he takes it to a whole new level. I guess it depends on the build, though. The one I put together uses ten billion enchantments to make the game virtually unplayable short of using stax (since my local group banned stax decks).

I've built him several times. Pillowfort, Extort... Yeah maybe I shouldn't. He isn't cheap now looking at his staples. Replenish is ~$20 same with Greater Auramancy. Though he would be comical with Aetherflux Reservoir. Or Rite of Consumptioning a Serra Avatar and nuking everyone with Vizkopa Guildmage... :p Plus I do run Karlov who is like his lil bro.

If you're looking for a new commander to try out, consider one of the new four-color commanders. Atraxa, Praetors' Voice is everyone's favorite flavor right now, but the others have a lot of promise. I'm thinking of tinkering with a Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder deck, but can't find good reasons to run him over Maelstrom Wanderer other than "Hey, I get to splash black!"
EDIT: DAAAAAXOOOOOSSS. Love that guy. That's some real enchantment fun, even without all the wombo combo stuff.

Yeah, I'll probably just build Daxos. From what I've gathered he typically flies under the radar but when he suddenly makes 10/10 tokens its too late.
