Typical madness vampires, based on discarding, hitting fast and hitting hard.
Use your spells to burn, to draw cards and to enable madness, also to provide some control to be sure nobody randomly kills your vamps.
This deck is cheap and does not fully get advantage of having more Olivia, Mobilized for War or Drana, Liberator of Malakir, but I simply don't have enough money for them - that is why I will just use one Drana and one Olivia, this should do I think. I'm not using Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet, as he may be a little bit too slow in this deck (just my opinion though, truth may be different).
Maybeboard represents cards I'm considering - the numbers are meaningless as of now, 'cause I'll buy more cards if any of them happen to work good.
A little bit bigger description:
Asylum Visitor - card draw mid-game (trust me, no cards in hand ain't a good feeling) and early pressure
Drana, Liberator of Malakir - aggro in air, sadly I don't have money for more Dranas, but I'll try to get 1 more
Falkenrath Gorger - early pressure again, get's really nice when you can cast vamps anytime
Heir of Falkenrath
- one of the main hitters, flies and is a discard outlet - sounds good to me!
Incorrigible Youths
- the mad kiddos, a very solid turn 3 drop
Olivia, Mobilized for War - another discard outlet, sadly I don't have money for 1 more, maybe I'll manage to get her somehow. She's a nice aggro girl + she flies, which is nice. And she makes counters, which is also nice
Ravenous Bloodseeker
- another discard outlet and a nice, growing guy, which can suddenly hit hard
Fiery Temper
, Lightning Axe - the usual, kill and burn
Alms of the Vein - bolt in the face + heal, which is really nice. Sometimes it can win the game, when you're stuck with no creatures on the battlefield
Avacyn's Judgment
- clear small threats or just shoot dem opponent in dem face
Duress - control is always good, mostly because this vamps die to most removal too easily
Read the Bones, Tormenting Voice - draw engines
Sinister Concoction
- is a great 2 mana killer and a discard outlet, also produces psychological pressure on your opponent
SIDEBOARD:
Burn from Within
- gets rid of the Ormendahl, Profane Prince
, which is nice
Virulent Plague - kills dem tokens, there are quite a few. Maybe Languish would be better, but it would kill my vamps too, so it wouldn't be the best deal
Visions of Brutality - is funny, gets rid of a blocker and can kill your opponent if they have one hard-hitter
Rest is more creature removal, kills pretty much everything
My aim is to get into standard with semi-competetive AND cheap deck, maybe win something, get some nice cards and then get a better deck - any kind of advice is really welcomed! +1's too!
