This is the greatest and best deck in the world...Tribute to Hunger .
Long time ago me and my brother Champion of the Parish here, we was traveling through a dark and lonesome Swamp . All of a sudden, there shined a shiny Ravenous Demon Flip ...in the middle...of the Swamp . And he said, "Play me with the best deck in the world, or I'll eat your Lingering Souls . Well me and Champion of the Parish , we looked at eachother...and we each said..."Okay."
And we built the first deck that came to our heads, it just so happened to be...the best deck in the world, it was the best deck in the world.
Look into my eyes and it's easy to see one and one make two, two and one make three, it was Angelic Destiny . Once every hundred-thousand years or so, when the White Sun's Zenith doth shine and the Blood Moon doth glow and the Elephant Grass doth grow...
Needless to say, the Beast was stunned. Whip-CRACK! went his whoopy tail, and the Beast was done. He asked us, "Be you Entreat the Angels ? And we said, "Nay! We are Humans." Rock!
Ahhh, ahhh, ahhh-ah-ah,Ohhh, whoah, ah-whoah-oh!
This is not the greatest deck in the world, no.This is just a Tribute to Hunger . We couldn't remember the greatest deck in the world, no, no. This is a Tribute to Hunger , oh!
And the particular thing is this, my friends...The deck we played in that fateful hour it didn't actually get its ass kicked by Ratchet Bomb .
This is just a Tribute to Hunger ! You gotta believe it! And I wish you were there! Just a matter of opinion...Ah Fog !
Fan of W/B decks? Here's some of my personal favorites...

Thanks again everyone! For your continued support I'd like to give back to the community with this video of "Tribute" by Tenacious D below!
If it ain't broke WoTC will release a new set and make you fix it!
Unfortunately I have to to get the Sideboard ready for RtR release. Any suggestions would be appreciated and thanks again for checking it out!
Thanks everybody you all rock!
Thanks everyone for the views and votes!
After enough tries I finally got the playtester to load and tried out matchups vs. some of my other Standard decks...
vs. RG Werewolves 0-2
This matchup didn't go so well. The first game the wolves ran all over this deck before things could get going. Next game went a little more smoothly but turned into a stalemate. Garruk's ultimate finished the job.
vs. GW Aggro/Ramp 2-1
Game 1 my big stompy deck was on its game (removing threats, dropping big stompy creatures, etc.). Next game went to Mirran Crusader and Angelic Destiny . In the tiebreaker I recover from a bad mana draw to drop 2 Thraben Doomsayer on the board with fateful hour. Things got ugly from there.
vs. UB Infect 2-0
Turns out this deck was a nightmare for my U/B Delver-Infect deck. The threats came out too quickly to counter and no mass removal left Delver in the dust.
With all the life gain I've been trying to think of a way to activate fateful hour while keeping with the theme. Griselbrand would be fun but I don't want to deck myself trying to get to 5 life. Any suggestions?
Decided Killing Wave would be perfect for activating fateful hour. Still open to tweaking it a little more.
New changes...
-3 Hero of Bladehold, -3 Mortarpod, -3 Gideon's Lawkeeper, -1 Tribute to Hunger, -1 Increasing Devotion, -1 Mirran Crusader
+3 Killing Wave, +3 Altar's Reap, +3 Killing Wave, +2 Liliana of the Veil, +1 Thraben Doomsayer
Hex Parasite will get you to fateful hour on demand. (just keep paying the phyrexian mana till you are at 4/5 to remove 0 counters.)
This is true, the thought of playing Killing Wave and purposely paying the life while watching an opponent sac everything just feels dirty.
Don't have Sorin yet but going to give him a try in place of Hero of Bladehold. Thanks everyone for the +1s!
Looks good, I like decks that can use . I would suggest you add 2 more Revoke Existence to the side board(primarily for those Heartless Summoning decks with their Wurmcoil Engines)and 3x Celestial Purge would be helpful as well. Good deck though +1.
Thanks! I've been looking for some good sideboard ideas. Think some instant life gain in case I do the Killing Wave down to fateful hour combo against a burn deck would be helpful?
couldn't you put in a few Lingering Souls and take out some Skirsdag High Priest
Ya I think it would,I like to use Timely Reinforcements for that.
It would have to be a champion style deck haha
+1 FOR THE SONG MATE, LOVE IT!
Pulled off the Killing Wave + fateful hour combo in casual multiplayer last night with about 15 creatures on the board including 2 doomsayers and killed all but one opponent. They played Akroma, Angel of Wrath on their next turn...
Awesome description, +1 for that alone. Deck looks pretty good though. :)
Good deck. Great description. +1
+1 for Tenacious D reference, hilarious description, and finally, for the deck itself :)
+1 for the Tenacious D related description. I'm currently bored at work and that just made everything a lot better. I sang along to it and replaced all the words accordingly. If Jack Black and KG don't do THIS version in the near future, I'm going to be quite upset.
Given the deck is geared more toward mid-late game wins, the only time Evolving Wilds really hurts me is if it's taking the place of a colored mana source when I could be playing Champion of the Parish or my 2 drops early on. With 2 in the deck it hasn't been a problem yet.
I might consider dropping a Vault of the Archangel , not sure about Timely Reinforcements as I plan on updating for RtR soon.
Cool like # 70. Dude nice description and Ill have to try this deck out it seems interesting.
I don't know if you can make it fit with the theme, but Cathar's Crusade with token generators is backbreaking. Crusade into Increasing Devotion makes five 5/5s because all the tokens enter simultaneously. Even a simple Lingering souls + flashback gives you four 4/4s. Think about it.
I've been using Increasing Devotion mostly to pump the Champion and feed the Demon in the late game. Usually by that time decks without a decent bit of removal are staring down 6/6 fliers with vigilance and a bunch of their little friends.
Like all your decks that I check out, this one is pretty dang solid. I helped a buddy make a really cheap budget version of this deck 2 weeks back and through all of the play testing, one card that always seemed to have a place in the deck (even as just a 1 of) has been Angelic Overseer . It is one of those cards that just always come through for you.
Oh and maybe as just a sideboard card or something, Essence Harvest is often a fun card.
Angelic Overseer has kicked my ass before. Might find use for her as an alternate against hatred for the Demon. Might be better off just waiting for RtR for some of the cards instead of what I have now.
YEAH!!!! 100th vote!!!! I love your deck btw. Gave me some inspiration for a deck that I made using Blood Artist . Please check it out and give me any feedback you may have. Ravenous Self-Portrait
Thanks! I have a love/hate relationship with Blood Artist as my friend uses him in 3 or 4 decks. Will definitely give yours a look and link it up top!
+1 for the name and this deck is amazing
I think Blood Artist can be a great sideboard card for you. If you are facing lots of board wipes slap him down. He's hungry for blood!
Trying not to get too crazy with Blood Artist . Friend uses him in about half of his decks so any time someone else plays Blood Artist everyone wants to punch them in the face. Plus he'll create math nightmares for me trying to Killing Wave down to fateful hour.
Finally cleared the dust off this deck tonight and everyone started coming at me which triggered fateful hour without me having to use Killing Wave . Two 7/7 demons, an 11/11 Archdemon of Greed Flip Flip and Vault of the Archangel took over. :)
Freaking sweet man. I was thinking about dusting mine off too! Gotta love demons.
i really like all the directions this deck is going in and it seems like it seems like it can shtatter my initial perceptions by performing well. Skirsdag High Priest and Ravenous Demon Flip seemed to be impossible to me to use correctly due to all the requirements such as tapped creatures, the morbid, etc but major props to you if you can pull it off. personally id love to see this in action, as i could never imagine a scenario were getting them to wokr would be reliable effective or even possible. hey but if your deckmaking skills are anywhere on par with your songwriitng skills id love to see this thing work.

my bad oh but even incorporating Champion of the Parish and Disciple of Bolas impressive!
Thanks! I'm pretty sure this'll get stomped by some of the aggro decks around since RtR and Gatecrash were released. It did at least give my playgroup fits for awhile.
Thraben Doomsayer really keeps things moving once this deck gets started. Most of my creatures and spells have synergy with Champion of the Parish , and I can usually use Vault of the Archangel or Sorin's tokens to keep my life up.
