When the Lamb broke the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, Come. I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth.

Part four in my series of four modern decks based on the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse, this one of course being Death.

Inquisition of Kozilek/Thoughtseize-the best turn 1 play, start pulling things out of their hands right away.

Fourth Bridge Prowler- a nice piece of support, helping to remove a creature early on before it become too big of a threat

Fatal Push-the best removal spell in the deck, destroys most dangerous things in modern

Dismember-another part of the removal pack, playable as early as turn 1 if you dont mind the life loss

Relentless Dead-currently being tested over Bloodghast, the 2/2 body with menace is great already, not to mention the ability to return itself or something else from my graveyard

Gatekeeper of Malakir- while technically a 2 drop, Im almost always playing him for three, for opponents to sacrifice big threats that I cant hit normally such as eldrazi.

Slaughter Pact-part 4 of my removal package, its a nice surprise for opponents who dont expect you to have any removal once youre tapped out

Flaying Tendrils/Drown in Sorrow-some mass removal for early game incase anything en-mass sticks to the board

Liliana of the Veil-just what this deck needs, options to make opponents lose cards and sace creature, or if theyre unlucky enough to sacrifice most of everything.

Geralf's Messenger-amazing value such a low cmc, it adds three devotion and drains an opponent for at least 2 (usually 4). Plus it came be brought back to hand with relentless dead.

Phyrexian Obliterator-the entire reason I built this deck, a wonderfully horrible card to play against, without removal this card is deadly.

Damnation-the best boardwipe for the deck, it takes care of everything (except indestructible)

Gray Merchant of Asphodel-an alternative wincon if you cant get your creature through, just start draining them for life. Plus it can also be brought back with relentless dead.

Tombstalker-a big beater, since Im not using my graveyard for much else, why not use it to cast something big and scary earlyier then expected.

Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx- my way of egerating more mana for less

Bloodstained Mire/Polluted Delta-feeding Tombstalker, thining my deck and enabling Fatal Push

Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth-in my nykthos needs to be a swamp

Swamp-kinda important
