RIP Twin =[

Good day all! I've been messing around with the modern meta a little bit recently and began to fall in love with U/R Splinter Twin decks. I, however, lack immediate knowledge of the integral card base that would be necessary to build a strong deck using blue as a base. For that reason I decided to explore a replacement and found that White and black were more than adequate when it came to breaking tempo. So, here it is! My Mardu Twin deck!

Just a few notes before I go over combos, synergies, and card choices; many of these choices are tentative. Meaning that they are inevitably going to be replaced (I will point these out under their particular description). Furthermore the land base for the deck and the sideboard or incomplete as these are two of my weaker points when it comes to deck building. So any and all help with those would be greatly appreciated!

That being said, let's get onto the key combos and synergies of the deck:

Combos:

Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Village Bell-Ringer Creates infinite tokens and works as a back up win condition if Twin falls through in the early game.

Midnight Guard + Splinter Twin and Splinter Twin + Village Bell-Ringer

-These are the main combos of the deck which, hopefully, produce a turn 4 win. The point, as with any Twin deck, is to create an infinite amount of tokens and swing for the win since all tokens produced by Twin will have haste upon entering the battlefield.

Now that we've gone over some of the combos of the deck I'll explain my card choices by category:

Creatures:

Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker Works to create tokens and combos infinity with Village Bell-Ringer.

Midnight Guard see above combo explanation.

Village Bell-Ringer See above combo explanation.

Wall of Omens Part of the draw engine and works as an early blocker against aggro builds.

Enchantments:

Splinter Twin the core of the deck, seems rather self explanatory.

Instants:

Boros Charm: I love it's versatility. I can use it to burn for 4, or protect my combo creatures from things like Abrupt Decay. Its third effect, double strike, is mostly going to go unused in this deck build since my creatures are not designed to attack every turn.

Path to Exile Best white removal in MTG. Any deck that runs white should never go without this bad boy.

Lightning Bolt Best burn card EVER!

Lightning Helix Great for early game sustain and spot removal. Also burns the hell out of your opponent.

Sorcery:

Thoughtseize: Kills early game threats to my combo and can really slow down an opponent's game plan by removing key aspects of it.

Inquisition of Kozilek: Same concept as above. It can really slow down your opponent and is incredibly satisfying to play.

As I said before where I need the most help is in my mana base and the sideboard. Also I would like to note that I did draw some inspiration from W/R Twin? so thank you for the indirect feedback DBCooper.
