Ponza build along more traditional lines without Bloodbraid Elf . Since the unban of BBE, Ponza has shifted heavily towards builds using it and while they are potentially explosive I think they are less consistent and less resilient if the opponent has a strong start or manages to stabilize. Dragonlord Atarka seems like a fantastic top end with a huge ETB effect and though I was worried 7 mana was too greedy, with the robust ramp package, I have found her to be quite castable. After testing the Gruul build a bit, I have decided to open up options with a Naya build to give access to a couple of powerful Planeswalkers, Thalia, Heretic Cathar and more sideboard action. Suggestions are more than welcome unless you are making a case for the BBE variant and why it may be betrer; I think it is an interesting discussion but I am specifically building a more midrange build that eschews the Elf.
