Wayward Disciple
Creature — Human Cleric
Whenever this or another creature you control dies (is put into the graveyard from the battlefield, tokens are put into the graveyard before they cease to exist), target opponent loses 1 life and you gain 1 life.

The win-con is generally stacking aristocrat effects and recycling the graveyard over and over. Blasting Station, Cabal Archon, Relic Vial, and Wayward Disciple can deal a surprising amount of damage, and we can always just make an army of zombies with Rotlung Reanimator.

Thank you zaneanderman, for the feedback and suggestions. As I have looked for cards to cut to make room for other cards, Warstorm Surge is definitely a card I keep eyeing. 6 Mana for a non-human can be a lot to pay at times. It can bring a "Frenzy" to an unceremonious and early end. And then, if you were unable to cast it from the top of the library, you draw it and it is stuck in your hand anyway. When I made the cut to get Eladamri's Call into the deck Seedborn Muse and Warstorm Surge were really the two cards I was considering. Neither are humans and both have relatively high CMC. I agree, I probably cut the wrong one, between the two. I'll get that fixed.
Another card I am iffy on at this point is Pious Evangel Flip. I got it into play recently and flipping it into the Wayward Disciple was easy enough. It did work for me but . . . I had thought this was exactly a beefier Zulaport Cutthroat. Like the Cutthroat, it triggers only when my own creatures die but rather than hitting each opponent, it targets just like Blood Artist. This is probably the only deck on earth that is running this card so that's fun but it's worse than I thought it was. Sky Hussar looks like a great card to try in this spot!
I've never considered Skyscribing before. What a unique effect. If it was in the Commander 2013 Derevi deck, I must have one. I'll see if I can find it!

I like the deck - I also saw Teysa Karlov and immediatly thought "commander looking for deck". Tossing out some suggestions below if you are interested.
kind of supprised you're not running Pontiff of Blight - it makes any token theme able to stall out and drain life from opponents at a rediculously fast rate, and the 7 toughness makes it burn and combat resistant.
Vampiric Rites is a cheap little sac outlet for token draw, as none of your triggered card draw benifits from tokens.
Pious Evangel Flip and it's flip, Wayward Disciple offer another source of life drain from tokens.
Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim and Teysa, Orzhov Scion offer repeatable removal for tokens, as alternitives to path of exile or swords
Ashen Rider is stupid amounts of rediculouslness (although it has a cost to match, so take that one with a grain of salt)
lastly, Athreos, God of Passage offers either recursion or another damage on death effect, while Ravos, Soultender offers streight up recursion while buffing all token on the field.

duffman24 thanks for explaining the combo to me, I completely missed that interaction when you made your previous comment and now the recommendations make a lot more sense to me as the interaction between Leonin Relic-Warder with Animate Dead and friends could be powerful. As an added bonus it would provide another way to gain an arbitrarily large life total with Soul Warden and her sisters while providing additional artifact/enchantment removal. I will really have to rethink Leonin Relic-Warder as it adds another combo backup with Altar of Dementia.
Now, if they would just print a Wayward Disciple that does not need to be flipped...

The Wayward Disciple acts as a second artist. I'm happy with the current balance of artist-type creatures, fodder, and sac outlets in the deck, I just wish the Blood Artist was cheaper. Maybe Wizards will reprint it in the next core set?!
Hidden Stockpile gets a bit heavy on the rules text with revolt (see the "Card Choice Guidelines" section above). Also adds another token type and the robot servos are a bit off theme from the deck (how does a blood artist paint with servo blood? I do try to keep the theme cohesive).
Quest for the Gravelord is an interesting card. I don't have any "early investment for delayed payoff"/suspend type cards in any of the decks. However, it also adds another token, but it is such a specific one that it's less of an issue than mixing a bunch of humans and spirits of different colors. Art is good but not great.
I'm still linking the Rally the Ancestors. Without the exile clause, it would be way too powerful, but as is hopefully would allow for some late game power turns, that wouldn't necessarily end the game (that is actually my concern, that it is just a 5 mana I-win-now card). Also, while I want card rules/effects to be simple, I don't mind that the gameplay has a high ceiling for decision making to keep it interesting at all levels. I'm going to try it in testing...

Yeah I would defiantly take Enlightened Tutor. I don't have it right now, but ill add it in when i get the money. Mind's Eye looks really awesome, and the same case with Enlightened Tutor, I'll get it when I can. And a shame with Wayward Disciple Flip, I was looking for cards like Zulaport Cutthroat and Blood Artist and thought i found a way around it. Slate of Ancestry is good i'll add it to the deck. Thanks for the recommendations.

Really interesting take with Darien, +1
Wayward Disciple Flip's color identity is black so it unfortunately wouldn't be playable in here.
No Enlightened Tutor to find Blasting Station more reliably?
I don't see much draw besides Mentor of the Meek and Skullclamp. Do you find you don't need it? Mind's Eye and Slate of Ancestry could shine in here.

With all the graveyard return/sac combos, Wayward Disciple Flip could be another backup plan. Not an auto-include, but a suggestion.
