Primeval Protector Discussion

I really like the deck. It seems like this would be extremely satisfying to play.
I am not really experienced with this color group, but it seems like one extremely useful option might be Roon of the Hidden Realm, which would allow you to temporarily remove enemy threats and also get an extra "enters the battlefield" use with Primeval Protector, Coiling Oracle, Deepglow Skate, Armorcraft Judge, Custodi Soulbinders, Prime Speaker Zegana or Elite Scaleguard every turn (which also triggers Cathars' Crusade). Furthermore, it can protect your commander any time it is threatened. I might even include Flickerform for the same reason.

I love Elf decks and I love helping new EDH players! So after looking at your list I thought of some suggestions for you. I would add lots of additional ramp and more top end cards to better take advantage of your commander's tutor triggers. I think what the Elves are truly best at is ramping mana. Cards like Priest of Titania, Elvish Archdruid, Wirewood Channeler, and Elvish Guidance, also non-elf ramp like Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx & Karametra's Acolyte. Genesis Wave is probably the most powerful X spell in green..surely one of the most powerful in any color...and I bet it will be great to cast in your deck. Its so fun and insanely powerful, it feels like cheating. Personally I like more recursion in my EDH decks, cards like Den Protector, Eternal Witness and Greenwarden of Murasa (especially the ones that can come down from Genesis Wave and return the wave right back to hand upon ETB). Zendikar Resurgent & Mana Reflection are super great cards that make you feel like you are cheating too. If you need some budget fatties I love Artisan of Kozilek and Primeval Protector, if you can get Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger that too. They are big, beefy and they do cool stuff. As far as cuts, I'm not sure if Endbringer has a place right now, because his activated abilities have almost no colorless sources to be used with. If you want more ideas, I have a few elf decks on my profile page to look at.

Alright some cuts.
Primeval Protector 10/10 vanillas that can get chumped by Soldier tokens feels bad man.
Vastwood Animist Not a fan of turning lands into creatures. Plus it's only ever going to be like a 4/4 because by the time 4+ allies hit the battlefield, you're either going to have the game in hand or someone is going to blow up the board.
Undergrowth Champion Not a lot of synergy here.
Avenger of Zendikar Craterhoof Behemoth Gisela, Blade of Goldnight Gahiji, Honored One Malignus I put all these here in the same pile cause they fit into what I call "Good Stuff" that detracts from what I think the overall strategy of the deck should be. For me Allies is a deck that accrues value every turn by dropping one creature after another in a synergistic chain. These guys are at the top of the chain but either for me feel "Win More" which I'm not a fan of, or feel like they do something different than what the deck really wants to do. Just my two cents.
Mirror Entity This guy is a closer.

Seems alright. Few cards seem a bit... odd or like you were trying to replace cards?
I'd recommend removing the following:
- Autumn's Veil: Yisan should be cheating your cards in
- Natural State: Not a huge concern, but seems underwhelming in EDH with most non-mana rocks being 4+
- Jeweled Amulet: With playing mono-green, this seems... meh.
- Tormod's Crypt: ???
- Staff of Domination: By the time this is going off, it's probably just a win-more.
- Seeds of Innocence: There are better mass artifact removal cards that don't grant life for only 1 or 2 more mana (Creeping Corrosion?).
- Carpet of Flowers: Unless your playgroup has a bunch of monoblue players, this isn't going to be super reliable.
- Strip Mine/Ghost Quarter: ???
Some cards I'd recommend are below and some will hopefully help abuse Yisan's verse counter-curve:
- Kodama's Reach
- Rampant Growth
- Skyshroud Claim
- Beastmaster Ascension
- Creeping Corrosion
- Wave of Vitriol
- Baru, Fist of Krosa
- Bellowing Tanglewurm
- Champion of Lambholt
- Citanul Hierophants
- Elder of Laurels
- Essence of the Wild
- Kamahl, Fist of Krosa
- Master of the Wild Hunt
- Nylea, God of the Hunt
- Pathbreaker Ibex
- Thunderfoot Baloth
- Managorger Hydra
- Primeval Protector
- Avenger of Zendikar
- Stonehoof Chieftain
- Bloodspore Thrinax
So many cards... Point being, ramping into Yisan and triggering his ability is awesome, but a moot point if you can't hit anything that does something. But again, I could be completely missing the point of what you're going for, and if so I apologize for the wall of text. It's your deck and you are free to do with it as you please, I just wish you a grand time of obliterating your games.

Hey got a few ideas while looking...Ivorytusk Fortress seems good. Primeval Protector, Ridgescale Tusker, and even Titania's Boon are alternatives to Lifecrafter's Gift. I think Edric, Spymaster of Trest is an upgrade from Bred for the Hunt, as I really like how he makes people attack each other. Happy gathering!

What removal is your group running? If it's simple destroy effects, run indestructible stuff
Darksteel Plate-will always come in handy protecting something
Heroic Intervention-protects the entire board
Inspiring Call-gives card draw and indestructible and is good value even without a ton of counters
If your play group is running exile effects, run hexproof stuff
Swiftfoot Boots-great for everythingreally anything that's cheap, instant speed, or gives good value. Furthermore, you want to make sure you aren't dropping any big threats (Avenger of Zendikar, Primeval Protector, etc...) without having some form of usable protection either on the battlefield or in your hand.

It's worth noting that for cards like Blasphemous Act, Curtains' Call, Primeval Protector, or Stone Idol Trap it doesnt matter how much mana you paid for it, it's cmc is still whatever is in the top right corner of the card. For that reason I really want to build an affinity grixis deck so i can run vial smasher with Blinkmoth Infusion
