Primeval Protector Discussion

Thanks for the input on the deck! I like having Primeval Protector in the deck because it's a 10/10 for usually less than 11 mana. On its own, it enables me to cast Ghalta for 2 mana, and my opponents almost always have creatures to reduce its cost. I'll still consider Hooded Hydra though, although I think I've got enough recursion that a boardwipe isn't crippling.
You're right that I should have some more removal. Titania's Song and Semblance Anvil haven't impressed me so far, so I'll swap them out for Elf Replica and Beast Within (both of which have some utility if my opponents aren't running many enchantments.) I'll see if I can work a couple more removal pieces into the deck, though.

Nice list! Just off a quick glance I'd recommend swapping out Primeval Protector for Hooded Hydra. You can't always rely on opponents having creatures, and the Hydra replaces itself in the event of a boardwipe. I'd also highly recommend adding a bit more removal to deal with problem artifacts and enchantments. Beast Within, Krosan Grip, Tranquil Grove, Back to Nature, even Elf Replica to keep with the artifact theme, all are good options.
Love seeing decks that don't follow the norm!

Primeval Protector is also a bomb.
Also Stonehoof Chieftain. Ya know... on that whole Trample and Indestructible thing...

This is a pretty cool deck! I would recommend Undergrowth Champion as he can get pretty big and still be a great blocker. Some other suggestions that I like to use in my +1/+1 counter decks: Dawnbringer Charioteers, Primeval Protector, and Solemn Recruit.

I really like the deck. It seems like this would be extremely satisfying to play.
I am not really experienced with this color group, but it seems like one extremely useful option might be Roon of the Hidden Realm, which would allow you to temporarily remove enemy threats and also get an extra "enters the battlefield" use with Primeval Protector, Coiling Oracle, Deepglow Skate, Armorcraft Judge, Custodi Soulbinders, Prime Speaker Zegana or Elite Scaleguard every turn (which also triggers Cathars' Crusade). Furthermore, it can protect your commander any time it is threatened. I might even include Flickerform for the same reason.

I love Elf decks and I love helping new EDH players! So after looking at your list I thought of some suggestions for you. I would add lots of additional ramp and more top end cards to better take advantage of your commander's tutor triggers. I think what the Elves are truly best at is ramping mana. Cards like Priest of Titania, Elvish Archdruid, Wirewood Channeler, and Elvish Guidance, also non-elf ramp like Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx & Karametra's Acolyte. Genesis Wave is probably the most powerful X spell in green..surely one of the most powerful in any color...and I bet it will be great to cast in your deck. Its so fun and insanely powerful, it feels like cheating. Personally I like more recursion in my EDH decks, cards like Den Protector, Eternal Witness and Greenwarden of Murasa (especially the ones that can come down from Genesis Wave and return the wave right back to hand upon ETB). Zendikar Resurgent & Mana Reflection are super great cards that make you feel like you are cheating too. If you need some budget fatties I love Artisan of Kozilek and Primeval Protector, if you can get Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger that too. They are big, beefy and they do cool stuff. As far as cuts, I'm not sure if Endbringer has a place right now, because his activated abilities have almost no colorless sources to be used with. If you want more ideas, I have a few elf decks on my profile page to look at.

Alright some cuts.
Primeval Protector 10/10 vanillas that can get chumped by Soldier tokens feels bad man.
Vastwood Animist Not a fan of turning lands into creatures. Plus it's only ever going to be like a 4/4 because by the time 4+ allies hit the battlefield, you're either going to have the game in hand or someone is going to blow up the board.
Undergrowth Champion Not a lot of synergy here.
Avenger of Zendikar Craterhoof Behemoth Gisela, Blade of Goldnight Gahiji, Honored One Malignus I put all these here in the same pile cause they fit into what I call "Good Stuff" that detracts from what I think the overall strategy of the deck should be. For me Allies is a deck that accrues value every turn by dropping one creature after another in a synergistic chain. These guys are at the top of the chain but either for me feel "Win More" which I'm not a fan of, or feel like they do something different than what the deck really wants to do. Just my two cents.
Mirror Entity This guy is a closer.
