Primeval Protector

Creature — Avatar

This costs less to cast for each creature your opponents control.

When this enters the battlefield, put a +1/+1 counter on each other creature you control.

rwn1971 Emiel is one of my favorite decks. Outlast would be decent. I know I have run Tuskguard Captain in decks before, but I seem to always cut it for something more powerful that comes along. I just did a scryfall search to see what other outlast creatures would be available in these colors. Abzan Battle Priest, Abzan Falconer, and Arcus Acolyte could be helpful, but the main focus of the deck has been ETB creatures. The +1/+1 counters is more a sub-theme, which means I prioritize cards that add +1/+1 counters while also synergizing with Emiel's ability to blink them over and over. Hence, the inclusion of cards like Filigree Vector, Primeval Protector, Rishkar, Peema Renegade, Champion of Lambholt, and Armorcraft Judge. Even Conclave Mentor, Cathars' Crusade, and Tribute to the World Tree get a lot stronger when I'm blinking one or more creatures over and over.

Ridgescale Tusker and Primeval Protector would be fun to blink with your boss. Maybe Druid of the Emerald Grove and Heartstone

Soul of the Harvest would give you another Trample creature and Blinking activates the card draw ability.

If your commander is a Planeswalker you are going to need a way to protect it. I think you need a few more creatures, probably more with trample or at least bigger than what your opponents usually play. Deus of Calamity, Primeval Protector

If a creature is equipped with something that gives them Trample or Haste (like Chariot of Victory or Sword of Vengeance) you can target them with Misc's +1 ability.

Red spells like Act of Treason would allow you to steal a creature, attack and then sacrifice the creature with Minsc's second ability.

Longshot Squad and Tuskguard Captain both give bonuses to creature with all those +1 counters Minsc can throw around

I would trade out 3 or 4 lands for something else. Your deck runs cheap on mana.

Insurrection and Mob Rule before you attack, Strength of the Tajuru during your attack after you get the mana.

Maybe Fanning the Flames over and over

Flameblast Dragon is not particularly useful with this boss. Maybe Primeval Protector, Nessian Boar, Thunderfoot Baloth or Grothama, All-Devouring. Big guys that come out before your boss hits the field

Llanowar Reborn and Nesting Grounds to bring your lands up to 34.

Gyre Sage in place of another mana dork

Cytoplast Root-Kin, Primeval Protector, Ridgescale Tusker

There are a couple other decent creatures with "Graft" and there are a ton of artifact creatures that enter the battlefield with counters

My deck can play like half the deck by turn 6-7, sometimes turn 5 and draw an additional 20-30 cards. Maybe take a look at my list. I can highly recommend cards like Ghalta, Primal Hunger , The Great Henge , Primeval Protector or Treasure Cruise . They reduce their own cost and still give you that big cascade trigger. Also Great Whale and Palinchron are nice. A free cascade trigger or with a card like Nyxbloom Ancient or Zendikar Resurgent they even produce mana. You should also try to fit a bit more ramp into the deck, so you can keep up with faster decks.

Theres a whole lot you can improve here, some stuff is budget and some is not. Cards like Dig Through Time , Primeval Protector and Treasure Cruise are great here since you can cast them for cheap and still get a high cascade trigger, they’re also budget friendly. Stuff like Ghalta, Primal Hunger and The Great Henge are even better but not budget friendly anymore. I made a more optimized and less budget version of Imoti and it does crazy stuff. Like drawing and playing like 70 cards a turn and putting 25 lands into play untapped the same turn. By turn 5-6 your board looks absolutely nuts. Feel free to take a look if you’re looking for new toys. There are good budget cards but also more expensive stuff

Nice list to start with. You should consider cards that reduce their cost like Ghalta, Primal Hunger , Dig Through Time , Treasure Cruise or Primeval Protector . Playing a Ghalta for just 2 and still getting a 12 mana cascade trigger is just nuts. The Great Henge is like super good for that reason, it also draws you cards and ramps. Omniscience does really well in Imoti and Aetherflux Reservoir can easily get you 150+ life a turn because of its special interaction with cascade. Also some additional card draw like Thunderous Snapper has proven to be awesome. My Imoti can easily draw and play like 50-70 cards a turn and put 25 lands into play in one turn, with a few changes yours could really get to the next level :-)
