SufferFromEDHD, first I'd just like to say I like the username lol.

What would you remove for the maybeboard cards? Griffin Guide is on flavor but not actually that useful imo. Crackdown is great and Flagstone is pretty good too. Griffin Canyon is also decent. If nothing else I can untap something to block? But I should always be doubling my board after t4 with untapped griffin tokens so blocking also isn't really a problem, right?

Confused by the lack of Griffin Canyon!

Griffin Guide discounted by that Transcendent Envoy.

Crackdown nice tax in mono white aggro.

Dust Bowl really good late game in a deck full of basic lands. Also Flagstones of Trokair.

Harsh Mercy tribal removal.

Cavern of Souls best tribal land.

Path of Ancestry solid tribal land.

Vesuva double up on that Griffin Canyon.

Thanks! I'll try to give out my thoughts in those cards:

  1. Vesuva - ETB copying a land may be a liability when it's made to copy Griffin Canyon. You'd want to put off on getting canyon out until you are confident you can pull off the combo and eliminate at least 1 player.
  2. Wings of Velis Vel/Shields of Velis Vel - these used to be in the deck. However, I've since moved to things that give changeling that are not necessarily single time use spells
  3. Elite Arcanist - you really want some specific cards to be in your hand when you cast this one. The problem I see is that Isochron Scepter is a lot better as it is not a creature but alas I had to remove it. It either becomes a removal magnet or you don't have a decent card to imprint it with
  4. To Arms! - we really don't animate a lot of lands to make this worth a slot
  5. Long-Term Plans/Dizzy Spell - these tutors used to also be in the deck. I just removed them in favor of having more card draw/filtering effects
  6. Cerulean Wisps - 1-mana cantrips may be good but I'd want them to do something else other than just replace themselves

Thanks Reznorboy those are great suggestions! I haven't paid much attention to Elvish Reclaimer. He's just been a way to find Griffin Canyon, Wirewood Lodge, or Memorial to Unity. Now I'm wondering if I should run artifact lands + Inventors' Fair to really up his utility

I'm surprised not to see Teferi's Response. It counters Swords, Push, and Bolt like Dispel, but also Wasteland and Port to help protect your Griffin Canyon.
